34 to be exact.
Almost catching up with AB!
59 vs 34 = 25 songs difference. Tremonti'd have to release another double-album in 2018 for them to be close enough and with ABV probably having 12~ songs that puts them at a 37 song difference. So I doubt they'll ever be near each other with the song count.
I think you're taking this to literal lol Just interesting since AB formed in '04 and Tremonti formed in '12. I find it interesting! 34 songs in 4 years is quite a lot.
Nu-uh! ;) :lol

I hate to see any songs get cut from the set list.

Another complaint I have is, when I saw Tremonti in Johnson City, he played..... 12 songs. As the headline. Was the most rushed, I don't want to be here, show I've ever seen. For I think 30 dollars a ticket.

I've seen Aaron Lewis many of times, for 20 dollars, and never get less than 15 songs. The most recent show, he played for nearly 3 hours, literally 24 songs if I remember correctly, and played until he was too drunk to keep playing. It was marvelous.

Was super disappointed when Tremonti played and the show was less than 40 minutes, got 6 tracks from each album. Needs to play longer, for sure.

To be fair, some of tremonti's songs and ideas had been around for years. Wish you well, and doesn't matter (was on the ab3 whiteboard) were for sure. So it's been a little longer than four years. But I agree his musical output is amazing.

You are considering "Wish You Well" a bad song? Wow

There are definitely more "songs for your $$" shows out there. I've seen some headliners play 12-14 songs, and I've seen others play 20+, so I know where you're coming from.

Not sure if you were talking to me or not, Mr. Slash. But no, I don't consider it a bad song. Just said it had been around for years and wasn't freshly written.

I agree with Austin. If you've got three albums worth of material you've got to play at least 15-16 songs. Tremonti songs are generally not that long either.

I think he does it because his voice doesn't last that long, but the only way to make your voice last longer is to make your voice get used to it. Start the tour on a number of songs that you're comfortable with and add one song each night (or get your voice to that point before the tour). That's coming from somebody who busks three hours a day, 5-6 days a week.

I concur. Rush is the ultimate band where the # of songs are so damn staggering. They play roughly 25-30 songs a night and they were doing this in the span of 20 years, seven tours, and almost 500 shows and every tour the setlist changes are so damn good reflecting on the album they were touring on the backs of. Sometimes, I wish AB would get inspired by Rush in terms of building a set.

I do feel like if you are co-headlining, then you should play at around 14-15 songs. If you are not co-headlining, and it is your own headlining show, with opening acts, then you should be able to play 17-20 songs a night, unless promoters had a say regarding scheduling set times.

Hate to ask a random off topic question but real quick: I thought he only smoked a ton of weed and didn't drink really at all??

Since he normally either does co headling or festivals his setlists are always going to be short but I have seen him headline and he usually sticks to 12-15 songs. I'm sure it has to do with keeping his voice going but with Dust coming out I see him adding 2-3 more songs to the set.

Also AB has gone down in # of songs in a set. AB3 tour they were doing 19-21 a show. Last tour it was around 17-18.

He quit smoking the ganja as he sings in Country boy.

"I now drink from the bottle and I quit smoking the weed"

Been THC for over a year I think he said.

Guess whiskey and vodka is the "country" way

The AB III tour had 17-18 songs as well. They did more on Wembley because of the DVD, but the rest of the tour was comparable with the Fortress and the Blackbird tours.

Brussels 2013: 19
Brussels 2011: 17

Hamburg 2014: 17
Hamburg 2011: 17 (Dueling guitar solos not included)

Glasgow 2013: 18
Glasgow 2011: 18 (Dueling guitar solos not included)

Spokane 2014: 18
Spokane: 2010: 19

A lot of headlining dates in the US during the AB III tour seem to have 19 songs, but they didn't play Cry of Achilles and Fortress (which was played a lot in the US) back then. Both are lengthy songs, so that kinda evens out.

I think Tremonti will eventually add more songs to setlist once his popularity and venues grow.

Yeah, it was normally 19 here in the states for the ab3 cycle. That said, all of the songs were rushed, and Myles didn't sound nearly as good as the fortress tour.

Well, at least, AB is starting their tour early. Well, technically it's an opening set, but at least, for once, they can get out there and promote a new album in the states with this tour.
