There was a conversation about Flip vs Whitlock...

Well, that's pretty much settled.

GW is a monster. I really hope he inspires Flip to up his game.

PS: The 2 previews are 5 days apart.

He really does. I feel like the drums here are part of the song. Not just there because they need to be.

I can just imagine Mark singing Love Bites :lol Speaking of Halestorm... their cheese has totally turned me off. I can't remember the last time I listened to them.

Yeah Flip hasn't evolved much in the 3 AB albums unlike someone like Barry Kerch from Shinedown who really shows some evolution. He needs to add some more 'metal drumming' to his arsenal. I think he's talented enough to do it.

These previews have blown me away! I don't think Tremonti played them up too much as being great and after hearing all these previews it seems as though it will blow away our expectations. I must admit I'm a bit frustrated that some of these ideas haven't been used for AB. We're wanted them to evolve and I think alot of these ideas would have been perfect for their evolution. Anyway i'll leave that up to them.

Songs that really hit me from the previews:
Brains
Decay (sounds incredible)
Leave it Alone
New Way Out

Also, the production has really impressed me so far. I think Elvis does a better job on Metal than with rock

Tremonti is on fire and I hope this album gives him the credibility he deserves! Best song-writer in rock/metal for the last decade!

That ending x3 riff in the Wish You Well preview sounds like it would of been off Unforgiven. Huh.

Same :/

We were talking about this in the official Halestorm thread. So much talent that hasn't reached its potential.

New Way Out sounds awesome.

The more I hear of the songs, the more interesting they seem to become. Brains is just stupidly epic as an intro and Wish You Well sounds like it could have an interesting structure.

Totally looking forward to it again now. All assumptions are swept away and I can wait to see how this goes.

On a production front, this sounds great.
