Finally got my account back and i am so ready for this record! The little clip of Nails that they just put on their socials sounds really, really good.

Yeah, but they get in the way of the discussion. Anyway, I might be nitpicking.

Do you think Nails will be released as a single or was that just a general social media teaser?
After reading these reviews I'm definitely most excited for It's Not Over, Now That I've Made It & All The Wicked Things.

Album review: Tremonti – The End Will Show Us How
A sixth dose of unsurprisingly angled metallic goodness from workaholic Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti.
January 6, 2025
Words:
Steve Beebee
Like most of us, Alter Bridge guitarist and songwriter Mark Tremonti probably did take a few days off at Christmas – but he was doubtless sneaking off to his bedroom with new song ideas every few hours. Mark is one of those guys who simply can’t stop the creative process, and what he can’t get out of his system in Alter Bridge he sure exorcises with style in his own, eponymous band.
This album is at its heaviest – and best – on tracks like One More Time, which opens in a machine gun ricochet of guitar before resolving into the typically emotive, dark-hooked trademarks Mark specialises in. These songs might have been considered too heavy for Alter Bridge, and they’re a ton stormier than anything you’d associate with Creed, the post-grunge stars with whom Mark first made his name.
Just Too Much is a coming together of everything good about Tremonti past and present. Riffs that are instinctively grunge based but have been polished into metal by musicians who know their art so well they can probably annotate Nirvana albums in their sleep. That said, The End Will Show Us How is at its most interesting when it challenges convention with more introspective tremors. The title-track and opener The Mother, The Earth And I are fine examples. While the lyrics remain hopeful, there’s a darkness, a kind of grim-faced determination to get through challenging times, that both underpin this music and give the attentive much to relate to.
This sixth studio album from Tremonti is as unrelentingly solid, as musically capable and lyrically meaningful as any of the others. It is, however, more of what has gone before. No bad thing for the legions that have enjoyed that, but with so much behind him already it would be interesting to hear this fine musician and writer extend himself into other areas. For January, though, this will do just fine.
Verdict: 3/5

TREMONTI
The End Will Show Us How
Napalm
rating 8.5 / 10
During the late-1990s and early-2000s, CREED's Mark Tremonti was recognized as a powerful guitarist. It was an interesting time in rock music, with post-grunge reigning supreme and hair metal still being shunned, but Tremonti was able to make the guitar solo cool again and helped usher in a new era of guitar-centric post-grunge popular hard rock music that wasn't afraid to get fancy.
Years after playing lead guitar in CREED and the subsequent band ALTER BRIDGE, Tremonti decided to try his hand at lead vocals in his own band, TREMONTI. While making the leap from guitarist and backing vocalist to lead vocalist is a big one, it's a challenge that Tremonti took seriously and hasn't shied away from. TREMONTI released their first studio album in 2012, "All I Was", and now they're on their sixth studio album with this year's "The End Will Show Us How".
With each solo album, Tremonti seems to be more and more comfortable in his role fronting the band. By the time he released 2021's "Marching in Time", it was apparent that he was much more accustomed to singing leads, and on "The End Will Show Us How", that trend continues.
The new album sets off with the fiery "The Mother, The Earth and I", which should please ALTER BRIDGE fans with its heavy guitars, grooving rhythms and Tremonti's strong, confident vocals. Over 5 minutes long, Tremonti makes a statement with this first track. Many of the songs on here are on the longer side, and it's a welcome change to hear some instrumental passages on a modern rock record.
The album's debut single, "One More Time", is a guttural hard rock anthem, with sharp, noisy guitars, Tremonti's soaring singing and the choppy style of instrumentals makes this a catchy number. At around the 3-minute mark, Tremonti rips into a guitar solo that's imaginative and lightning fast — the song's highlight.
That hard rock style runs through the entire record, and some of the songs really sound like they could have appeared on ALTER BRIDGE or CREED albums. "Nails" certainly falls into that category, with it's minor-key emphasis and Tremonti's vocals, which linger over the heavy guitar backing. "I'll Take My Chances", "Live in Fear" and "The Bottom" all follow suit with that combination of heavy instrumentals and Tremonti's emotive vocals.
It's not all rage on here, though. "It's Not Over" is a stripped-down, acoustic rock ballad that sounds very '80s. Part of the song's charm is that it almost sounds like a live cut and really captures the emotion of Tremonti's voice.
Tremonti doesn't do much experimentation on "The End Will Show Us How", and this record solidly fits into that CREED and ALTER BRIDGE lane, but that's a beautiful thing for fans who are craving new music from those bands. Of course, Tremonti also puts his own, unique stamp on it, which makes his music with his solo band just different enough to be unique and exciting.

Tremonti – The End Will Show Us How: Album Review
By Dominic Walsh on 6th January 2025
With a musical catalogue that includes 18 previously released full length albums from his work with Creed, Alter Bridge and various solo endeavours, world-renowned guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Mark Tremonti is back with his sixth album from his solo band, Tremonti.
Release Date: 10th January 2025
Label: Napalm Records
With a run of lead tracks released at the back end of 2024, Tremonti’s sixth studio album has already shown that it is going to be a cracker. The Mother, The Earth & I is a blistering way to start the album; it effervesces with moody guitars before the bass and drums roll in. When the chorus hits, the vocal line is incredibly catchy and will surely be a staple of forthcoming live sets.
One More Time is another track to be shared ahead of release. There is a metalcore feel in the opening with heavy breakdown rhythm styles being employed. This motif reappears as the song progresses with some great soloing thrown into the mix.
In keeping with the previous two tracks, Just Too Much was another lead track. The variety in styles across the opening trio of songs is to be lauded. Throughout, you can obviously hear hints of Creed and Alter Bridge, but Tremonti keeps his own style clear to set this band apart. With some thumping drum beats and rolling guitars, this is another track that is going to be a hit.
Nails is a heavier beast lyrically, thematically and musically – ‘Rest my head on a bed made of nails,’ sings Tremonti. His voice is impeccable in its delivery. Tempo changes and fiery solos make for a thrilling few minutes of music. An absolute standout of the album.
It’s Not Over and the title track slow the pace slightly, but none of the heaviness is lost as the dense sound the band creates flourishes again. The End Will Show Us How really soars in its crescendo.
Tomorrow We Will Fail has the bass dominating its introduction. It is another example of Tremonti constructing songs masterfully. The production on the record is first class, with all players being clear, and the band sounding absolutely huge. Michael “Elvis” Baskette is the man behind the desk and has worked with the band since 2007.
I’ll Take My Chances starts the road to the end of the album in hulking fashion. The guitar work is sublime and the rhythm is exciting. The Bottom, like some songs prior, has a seemingly slower tempo; this does not last long as another memorable song ensues. Lyrically, The Bottom feels more prophetic and heartfelt, however, some of the guitar lines sound evil. The juxtaposition between the two moods works brilliantly.
Live In Fear is a more orthodox rock song but it is no less impactful. The solo in the song blazes and will have you grinning from ear to ear. Now That I’ve Made It precedes the epic closer, All The Wicked Things. A more blatant use of harmonics and electronics forms the base of the song. When the song brings the band in, they deliver more high octane, high class hard rock. It is a fitting closer as it is truly epic. We get a few more breakdown style tempos with truly crunching guitars. Solos fly and Tremonti again shows his class as a vocalist.
The End Will Show Us How is a smasher of a record. 12 songs of solid hard rock from a master of the game. When the band hit the road this year, these songs will really make their mark on the Tremonti audience.

^^ I do think that is still against the rules in some form, but I'll leave it to the mods' judgment.
