Wolfie Sitting Out Tremonti Tour

Post by JaredWard »

I figured this would happen.

WOLFGANG VAN HALEN To Sit Out TREMONTI Tour Due To VAN HALEN Commitment

http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/wolfga ... ommitment/
TREMONTI will tour around the globe in support of "Cauterize" without bassist Wolfgang Van Halen due to scheduling conflicts with his main band, VAN HALEN.

"I am still part of TREMONTI and very excited for the release of 'Cauterize', but unfortunately am unable to participate in the upcoming tour dates, both in the States and overseas, due to my prior commitment with VAN HALEN for the upcoming summer tour in support of the 'Tokyo Dome Live In Concert' album," states Wolfgang. "Look forward to seeing all of the TREMONTI fans on the road as soon as my schedule permits!"

The upcoming tour kicks off in the United States in April before heading over to Europe in June. The band will be making stops at some of the largest festivals in the world, including Welcome To Rockville, Rock On The Range and Download. TREMONTI will be opening some dates for SEETHER while also headlining shows in the United States.

Mark Tremonti told The Pulse Of Radio that "Cauterize" is not the only disc he has coming out in the near future. "We put together two albums," he said. "We have this album that's [coming] out, but in the same recording session we recorded another album called 'Dust'. That's gonna be coming out who knows when, but probably within a year. So I want people to know that that record is part two of this record. It's not necessarily record three, it's just the second disc of this album. So there's two 10-song albums."
Also posted the official artwork. *meh* reminds me of Frank Zappa lol

I think we like him in Tremonti more than Van Halen fans like him in Van Halen...lol. But oh well I guess.

Not really digging the artwork. Would've been fine with just the flaming boat on the water.

Damn. Well, the VH tour starts in July, but I guess the Van Halen family, and DLR, probably wants to take a long time to do some rehearsals and plan out stuff.

Well, I guess there lies a question on whose going to be the touring bassist? Brian? He seems to be in much better shape, now, than the fall of 2012 when he pulled out.

Damn.. I was looking forward to seeing Wolfie. But oh well.. I'll step up. I'll be the bassist Mark. I MIGHT could fit it into my busy schedule. I'm also gonna need a foot rub before and after every show. Ya know.. Just your average stuff

Would be cool if they brought a no name to be the bassist.

Yes, he'll be on bass on the tour(s) that Wolfie can't make.

Wolfie not on Cauterize tour

Post by Crumbso »

I haven't had time to read it properly but this seems a shame. He seems to bring a lot to the band:

Don't worry, it's just for the first tour. Wolfie will be back with Tremonti for the fall tour..

Still in the band, we would have heard an official announcement if he dropped Tremonti.

Don't forget Wolfie has a solo album, and he'll probably tour to support it.

I wouldn't say that, he just has Van Halen as his number 1 priority. I'm sure he'd love to tour with them if he was free.
