Myles Kennedy Solo Album

Looking ahead, Myles' currently doesn't have any tour dates with Slash after August. Mark recently tweeted that AB will have a new album and tour in 2013.

Maybe, hopefully, pleeeeeassseeeee he could finish his vocals in between the two.

Well, apparently Slash just announced a tour date in Brazil in November. So it took 11 minutes for my perfect schedule in my OP to be rendered obsolete.

He should just not even tell anyone he's working on finishing it. No Tweets, nothing. Then one day just post a website with the CD available for purchase.

There are Brazil dates and I´m sure that second European leg will be there soon...

I think he will finish in late 2014. Slash will probably not make a 2nd solo with Myles (a big assumption ... probably back together with velvet revolver). So, Myles will be not be obligated to that. AB will be finishing supporting the new album and Creed will be getting back together for new album and tour. So, I am hope late 2014 for his solo album release. Only about 5 years late.

I think he will. Slash loves working with Myles and the guys and I think he's already said he's open to doing another album with them. he doesn't seem to be in too big a hurry to get VR going again.

I'm just not a huge Slash fan outside of Appetite. Would rather hear Myles try some other things musically.

I can't imagine this solo album ever being finished, Myles keeps on saying he needs to find time in this schedule, and he never does, which is fair enough because it's his life. But I reckon the solo album is by far the least of his priorities right now. Also, as a musician it must be difficult to simply pick back up on a project that's been collecting dust for 3 years, and still be as enthuastic (probably spelt that wrong) about it?

Even though I'm saying I can't imagine it being finished, of course I'd love it to be finished and released. I usually dislike it when AB do ballads (can't stand Watch Over You or Wonderful Life), but when Myles plays them acoustically they're much more listenable.

John Connolly was asked on facebook a few weeks back about Projected touring with Tremonti, and he made it sound like it was almost a done deal that the two bands would be going out with Slash later this year. I don't know what the timing would be on that, or if it'll actually come to fruition, but... yeah.

Truth be told, though, as much as I love Myles' work with Slash, I'd much rather finally hear the solo album. And see Myles go out on some solo acoustic Bofest-style tour dates.

I think it would be strange for Myles to even complete the album to be honest. It's almost like it's past it's time frame, and the music may not reflect where he's at now so the vocal performances could be off-base. Still really interested in hearing it though, even more so than Mark's album.
