monday morning makes me fell the largest sense of nostalgia... does anyone else feel this way? especially the upbeat guitar. i love it

I actually like all the songs a lot. Give A Damn is probably my least favourite but ".. like a motherfucker" still makes me laugh evey time I hear it

Yeah these are a really good bunch. Chorus of Monday Morning is another favourite part.

So far this year we've had live Mayfield Four videos and now unknown b-sides. It's like a dream sandwich.

I've been drowning myself in MF4 this past week. Summergirl is such a raw and passionate track; brilliant in its simplicity. Myles was must have been in an incredibly creative space then.

I don't even know what to say. For years, every time I go back and listen to Fallout and Second Skin, they are just so good that it hurts they didn't do 20 albums like that.

And now to have 5 new songs....breathtaking. That voice. That emotion. What a gift to get to hear these songs.

here's my thoughts on what era these songs are from based off of the similarities in guitar tones/vocals/etc..

Come Back To Me - Fallout era

Fall That Hard - Second Skin era

Give A Damn - Fallout era

Monday Morning - Second Skin era

Reigns Over Me - Second Skin era

Hmm, I think Fall That Hard is actually the most Second Skin sounding song. With the backing vocals and the way Myles' voice sounds.. It sounds very similar (in terms of production and songwriting) to the first 2 songs on Second Skin imo and it also reminds me a bit of "High".

i just listened again with headphones in and yeah, you're right...it sounds more like Second Skin era. parts of it kind of remind me of some of the Fallout songs though.

I'd thought they all sounded like Second Skin at first, but thinking about it Come Back To Me does sound Fallout-ish in many respects.

Give a Damn reminds me a hell of a lot of Flatley's Crutch at the beginning.
