Does anyone else find Devil sounds a bit like Summergirl at first? The melody for the vocal lines in the intro sounds a little similar.

I actually, for once! Like the mix and the sound of the 3 songs. I think it sounds great and very clear to my ears. Not overproduced nor underproduced If i may say. For once because I only liked Fortress production among all alter bridge’s records. World on fire sounded killer too though. But all the other albums I didn’t really dig the mix and sound

The instrumentation is all very natural and warm but the recording is so close miced and the production seems to be EQed to sound pretty 'modern'. I was hoping for that roomy 70s quality. Like the older blues records or Ian Thornley's recent solo album. Something that is very obviously musicians in a room pouring out their soul and less of a product.

I'll reserve judgement till I've heard the album but it feels like a slight missed opportunity.

Another good winner from Myles. I really like the ending to it. I also liked how the song was formatted that got to that point.

Well, four songs is out before the album is out, and I like all four of them in its own unique way, so this should bode well for the rest of the album.
