originally my preorder was supposed to be here the 7th, then it moved to the 8th, then last night i checked and it showed for today. so that was pretty cool. my best buy preorder shipped today.

Simon Dobson did the string arrangement for The Great Beyond.

first listen through standouts for me are: Ghost of Shangri La, Turning Stones (demo version) but the album track is good too, Haunted By Design, Mother, Songbird, and One Fine Day

Got mine today too. Blown away so far. Some of the melodies and certain sections have some AB vibes and even some MF4 vibes to them too but still way different than AB. Has a more classic Myles sound to it.

Love love Love Can Only Heal.. just wished he would have done a full voice/mixed instead of a falsetto after the last "chorus".. but its amazing!
But maybe thats the difference between AB/MF4 and his solo stuff..

Might buy the wooden version then..

I'm digging Love Can Only Heal - much more in line with what I was expecting from this album. Still, I think I'll wait to hear the track clips on Amazon before purchasing the album at this point.

They played Life Must Go On a couple times with a full band setup like it's played on the album. Hasn't happened in a while though, and I don't recall ever hearing an acoustic version.

That was the first live performance of All Ends Well though.

I hope he adds unreleased masterpieces like Mercy Rub and Reigns Over Me to the setlist in the future, along with The Mars Hotel as he did in Bofest. This solo tour is an opportunity for him to address those stages of his career which constitutes his prime times vocally in my opinion.

My vinyl pre-order (I got the gold record) showed up on Monday as well. I've only gotten to listen through it once so far, and didn't get to the last couple of songs, but my record player doesn't have the greatest EQ so I'm kind of waiting till I can listen to the full thing online with headphones come Friday. Holding off on listening to the vinyl so I can hear the "real" version digitally... ain't that about a bitch?

So far, though, astounding! Pretty much what I expected from the first few songs that were out there.

Just listened to the entire album. Absolutely stunning!! Every song is great, although Turning Stones and The Great Beyond really hit the sweet spot for me. All these years waiting for this album and it’s perfect.
