Re: SMK&C 2015 Tour
Yea, I pretty much agree with this. At one point Slash and Myles will go their separate ways, or at least slow it down a lot. They (Myles and Mark)'ve spoken about this in interviews as well, in the end there will always be Alter Bridge.Dan Dando wrote:I don't think there's anything to worry about. Myles is just making the most of his time with Slash while he can + while he's at the peak of his powers. I mean, he's 45... and as much as he takes care of himself and his voice I'd be surprised if he's able to keep both Alter Bridge and the Slash project going when he reaches his mid 50s. Although, I dunno, he is a bit of a machine. Heh. But, yeah, if the day comes where Myles has to decide between Alter Bridge and Slash on an indefinite basis I would be very, very surprised if he opted to go for the latter. Whilst he's capable of making great music with Slash I believe he knows deep down that his legacy lies with Alter Bridge and with the art that he's helped create with the band.

Someone at Creed Nation said he had started a real estate job where he's his own boss.

Yeah, I'm either a bit weird or easily entertained, probably a mixture of both. But as someone who has been browsing this board for a long time, I do find, what comes across as continual paranoia over the state of AB a bit amusing.Ubik wrote:You want it to happen just so you can read people get irritated on the internet?BSC wrote:^ I really hope that does happen, reading the shit-storm that will follow should be quite entertaining. Plus, I really enjoyed World on Fire, and I'd probably rather have another Slash album than an AB album if I was forced to choose judging on the quality of World on Fire.
...Bit weird.
Also, just for the sake of pickiness, I think it can inferred from my post that I want another Slash album simply because of how much I enjoyed World on Fire. I loved Fortress too, but World on Fire has had slightly more staying power for me.

And that's such a huge travesty given that areas like Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal can be just as good markets to have concerts in just as big as LA, New York, and Chicago.
One day, man. One day, AB will come to Canada. They just got to.

They did. In 2004. And now they claim it's not financially viable. Supposedly not enough of us requested their songs on radio.

Again, I just don't get it. Those Canadian cities, I mentioned, it's like a couple of hours (3-5 hours, driving distance) away from locations where they manage to do well on their headlining shows. I guess that's something else we can blame the Wind-Up Record debt on.Kreuger33 wrote:They did. In 2004. And now they claim it's not financially viable. Re: SMK&C 2015 Tour
Low register. Not bad. He should use that one more often when he's performing with Slash.

Myles sounded great all night.
Rocket Queen solo was crazy long. I took a bathroom break and was catching up with a friend in the lobby and we talked for a long time and I realized, oh hey, Myles is back on vocals but it's still Rocket Queen

Re: SMK&C 2015 Tour
Could anyone give an estimate of when the band actually goes on? Doors are 7:00pm for the NYC show tomorrow night and a buddy of mine has to rush out of class for us to make it. We're concerned we might be too late so he may duck out.
The Ticketmaster event only lists the opening band "Unlocking the Truth" and Slash, no other openers. Are any of you guys or girls seeing anyone else open? I'm hoping that's the case so that Slash isn't on till 9pm and we make it on time.
Edit: Damn, my avatar is old. I haven't been on here in ages.
