Wow, that is EXACTLY what I always wished some venue would do. And frankly, it baffles me that more venues don't. Imagine how much money they could make off of the die-hards who show up early to get in line. People get hungry, they get thirsty, and they might even like to buy a drink. Why not give them somewhere to hang out comfortably? You know they're not going to leave, so you'd might as well make some money off of them.

Got a boxscore result from a show in Ireland. It's pretty good.

I'd mostly be happy because I'd be able to go to the toilet before the show.

Seriously! Venues - if you give me a place to wait inside, out of the cold and rain, where I can use the bathroom, I will gladly give you lots of money for food and drinks.

I went to the toilet a couple of times during the AB show I went to. Then again, I wasn't worry of losing my spot, because I was at the seats section.

Ram's Head lineup scheme sounds very sensible! As various bands announce more dates I am thinking headline shows rather than Rock on the Range for me.

Edit to add - do we know opening bands for any Slash headline shows?

Wow, the headliner over bands like Bush, Seether, and Halestorm? That's awesome for them.

I heard about that yesterday! I've never been able to attend the MMRBQ before, but I think I'll attend this year.

Not looking forward to Seether... likely to be the most boring hour of my life.

I went a few years ago with a friend and we went with the cheap lawn tickets. I had never been there before. Problem was the weather changed drastically so we were standing in cold drizzle for hours. So if I go this time I think I'll pay for the covered seats (still open to the weather at the back) and I will definitely bring a jacket.

Lol! Todd's got a new blog posted @ http://www.toddkerns.com. This part really made me lol!
On the flight from Melbourne to Adelaide the next day I got to witness one of the most entertaining sights ever. Myles Kennedy and Marilyn Manson sitting together on the plane. Side by side. Flight buddies. What any of us would have given to be a fly on that wall. Meeting of the minds. They should make a sitcom.
