All right, from what I've heard, the album's 1st week sales is 29,000 in the US. Wow, Fortress actually outsold it which I didn't think was possible, given that Slash totally obliterated AB in the PR-sense. Being on Howard Stern, Trunk, Nikki Sixx, and being the opening band for Aerosmith whilst the only thing that AB did PR-wise in the states was be on Eddie Trunk. Then again, maybe that Classic Rock Magazine Fan-pack was so sweet to US fans that they ordered it anyway.

Alter Bridge fans tend to be of the mentalist variety that pre-order it months before hearing a note, with sales then dying off rapidly after the first week. People will still be buying this based on Slash's name alone for a while yet. Still, Fortress

Quite a solid album. Much better than Apocalyptic Love, although it's definitely a tad too long.

Slash's guitar work is particularly impressive. The only gripe I have is that the solos don't feel very memorable, mostly just riffing around a certain scale with a few random bends thrown in.

Myles has killed it on this album. Vocals are great and some of the melodies are top-notch. After Fortress and now World On Fire, I really can't wait to hear his next outing.

There are parts that remind me of Alice In Chains, parts that sound a little Megadethy, and obviously GnR and AB

I hear some Velvet Revolver at times on the album. Kinda strange. I guess some of these tunes would be VR songs if they had a singer.

I love Automatic Overdrive more and more every time I hear it. Bent To Fly, The Dissident, and The Unholy are on replay on my ipod almost constantly.

This album is so killer.

Pretty lengthy Q&A from Slash. A lot of good questions, a lot of good answers. The one thing I will say is that those guys will be playing 90 min. for Soundwave which is really a lot to work with. Twice than what AB got this year in comparison.

edit to add, I don't quite understand these ratings. If I click the link for WoF, my local station doesn't show up in the list of stations playing it. If I follow another song that shows my local station playing it, and click on the station, WoF is on the list.
