The guy on the GNR forum that seems to know everything intimated that the blues ditty is part of a song.

Slash did some really bluesy stuff like that with Snakepit, so I could see him going back to it as this group can play just about anything and make it sound cool.

Knowing Slash, he WON'T have a 4 minute solo in a song. In parts, in different progressions maybe. Slash's solos are not always technically thought off, he plays by gut instinct. His playing is beautiful.
Take Estranged for instance. It clocks over 9 minutes and its one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. Man, if he is gonna channel stuff like that, I'll be happy.
