Myles Kennedy joins Kings of Chaos in SA

Cape Town – Skid Row vocalist Sebastian Bach will be replaced by Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge for the Kings of Chaos concerts in South Africa, it was announced on Tuesday.

Rock legends supergroup Kings of Chaos is performing in Cape Town on 7 and 8 June at the Grand West Grand Arena, and at the Sun City Superbowl, North West, on 15 and 16 June.

Known for his vocal, guitar playing and song writing abilities, Myles Kennedy is best known for his work with rock band Alter Bridge, as well as being the lead vocalist in guitarist Slash's solo project, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.

When Guns n Roses were inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, Myles Kennedy was chosen as the vocalist to front the band in the live performance on the night. He is currently at work on the fourth upcoming and untitled Alter Bridge album, as well as his first ever solo album (LOL).

Rock anthems

Kings of Chaos consists of Guns N' Roses rock stars Slash, Matt Sorum, Gilby Clarke and Duff "Rose" McKagan as well as Def Leppard's Joe Elliot and Vivian Campbell, Deep Purple and Black Country Communion's Glenn Hughes and Collective Soul's Ed Roland.

Collectively, these artists have sold in excess of 300 million albums worldwide and together they have penned many of the most defining rock anthems of all time.

Kings of Chaos will perform some of their greatest hit songs in a two-hour display of frenzied guitar riffs, pounding drums, resonating bass and trademark raspy vocals.

Tickets for Cape Town are priced from R445 and R375 for Sun City and are available at Computicket.

Curious as to why all of a sudden though, why did Sebastian back off so soon and curious as to why Slash would even approach Myles when knowing hes recording with AB

He will replace Sebastian Bach. Hall of Fame it was the first step, now it became official.

Slash featuring Myles Kennedy is a pretty awesome way to gain name recognition.

Basically it is what we saw in Rock in Roll Hall of Fame.

I like Todd and Brent, but it reeeeally would be cool if the band had Duff, Matt and Gilby in the line up. It would be magic, making album with a blues vibe (like Not for me, Far and away and Beggars and Hangers On).

Guns n Roses are the fusion of two bands: Hollywood Rose and LA Guns, soooo we could call:

- Alter Roses - naaaww
- Guns n Bridges - even worst
- Velvet Four - what?
- Mayfield Revolver - because that makes sense...

From that list, I like the Mayfield Revolver, the most. It has a nice ring to it, but there is no way they are going to name it that if they become an official band.

I know you said you went full retarded on that name, but everyone does not really hate Axl. Duff made his peace with Axl and Slash would love to make peace with Axl if the playing field is leveled on both ends.

Also, Myles has never said anything bad or wrong to Scott Stapp, ever, because Myles is the humblest guy ever, which makes him the greatest, I don't care what anyone else have to say about that.

Well, I didnt mean that the guys hate Rose and Stapp... it is just something that we fans like to joke about it.

Myles already said that "You just can't step into those shoes." - referring about Axl. We all know that he is really humble and just want to make his music as best as he can.

He just sang at Hall of Fame because Duff and Matt begged and he understood that it was something important to Guns n Roses fans (to see the old line up of the band playing together again). Thats why he made everything he could to be far from the spotlights at the stage that night.
