Finally got my ears wrapped around the entirety of the record. Cool stuff. I catch myself skipping The Great Beyond. It's okay, but really doesn't fit in with the rest of the record.

Quite a nice album.

in the process of getting over my flu and i just finished the record for the first time. it's really good. fantastic.

Giving it its first spin right now, I'm liking everything I've heard so far, some really great vocals. The Great Beyond almost gave me a QOTSA vibe in parts, I think it fits in with the swampy bluesy vibe, even if the instrumentation is a bit different to the rest of the record.

Is there any other platform that I can buy the demo acoustic versions of the Great Beyond and Nothing but a Name? There is no Best Buy in my country so I can't get the album from there. Man, that best buy thing is really unfair to people like me.

I mean during Fortress and The Last Hero period, there were people here that was willing to ship out copies of the albums that had the Best Buy bonus tracks. You can see if people are willing to do that again for Year of the Tiger.

Is anyone here willing to do that for Year of the Tiger?

I'm here in OKC. I can certainly ship out a bunch to people if they'd like.

the demos are just rough versions of the songs. not really worth the effort.

I would still buy them if I could do it for individual songs. But if I were to get the entire album shipped from overseas just for them yeah you may be right. Anyways, good to hear they are not all that special; I feel better now.

Haven't read all the posts here, but I am really surprised at the lack of love for the "Year Of The Tiger" song. I think it's a fab song.

I'm still waiting for my CD to arrive. I pre-ordered from Myles' website. It departed Chicago on Sunday, Arrived at Heathrow on Monday but the tracking shows it's not yet out for delivery so clearly hasn't made it to my local sorting office depot yet

Myles is so damn humble and kind and simple (in a very complimentary way) and unassuming.

This world could use a few million more people like Myles. I'd say, yeah, his dad would be proud of him.

I kind of wish it was saved as an Alter Bridge track. Take out any of the folk-like remnants that it slightly contains as per the rest of the album, and get other similar themes involved the rest of an album like that song. I think it would have fit much more. Because you're right... I somewhat like the song, but it just doesn't fit with the rest, especially as a second track.

I definitely could head that one being an AB song but I love it. And to me it's great as a 2nd track because it kind of gets it out of the way.
