Here's a livestream of a show they're doing as we speak.. Apparently Slash is gonna come on stage somewhere in the set.
Definitely worth checking out, even if it's just for Steven Tyler's mustache.
Edit: Slash just came onstage. They're playing Mama Kin!

God damn Aerosmith still have it! Steven Tyler never fails to amaze me, although it's strange without Brad.
If that's a typical American crowd, I can see why many bands have a negative attitude towards the music scene over there.

Re: Aerosmith / Slashspirators Tour
Steven sounded amazing, he still has got a lot of energy.. Myles should be fine for a decade or 2
Yea, the crowd was incredibly lame. Almost stereotypically bad.

I loved Steven's comment 'Shit, maybe we should have had an open bar'
The amount of people filming a show that was being live streamed, and most likely recorded was ridiculous.

Re: Aerosmith / Slashspirators Tour
I almost thought about heading to the show at the Forum, but uhhhhh.

I mean it's not so much of the $50 nosebleeds or the $150 floor seats (did I get that term, right?) that I'm miffed about. That's pretty standard for a bill of this magnitude. It's the friken fees that gets makes you want to chuck the computer out of the window.
I'm out. I'll just wait to see if AB ever hits LA. Blarghhhhhhh.

This tour is pretty awesome, but man, I thought AB III had a bad touring cycle.

Re: Aerosmith / Slashspirators Tour
ABIII, honestly, had a good touring cycle. They played around something like 20-25 US headlining shows (I'm not including Carnival of Madness in that one). That's fine for a band whose big fanbase is somewhere else. I just need them to give us at least 10 more headlining shows in the US, this touring cycle, and I won't complain anymore regarding this matter.Andy92 wrote:This tour is pretty awesome, but man, I thought AB III had a bad touring cycle.

That's what I was getting at. I thought AB III was bad at the time, but now it looks pretty good in hindsight haha. Tool has even played more US shows this year than AB for crying out loud.

Re: Aerosmith / Slashspirators Tour
Taking a trip to LA over the summer that just so happens to coincide with the LA date. Already got my ticket!
Re: Aerosmith / Slashspirators Tour
Sounds like we're in for some goodies on this tour and (and any stray solo dates along the way).
Slash has said they will be playing new material from the new album, and the guy from the GNR who knows everything said they are going to bring out some Illusions songs possibly (most likely You could be mine...would think Todd would do that as it is a total bitch).
I appreciate the effort the guys put into expanding the setlist and having more options to choose from. They usually get the mix pretty good of old/new and the hits people want to hear.

Re: Aerosmith / Slashspirators Tour
Don't Cry would be pretty awesome.. Some of the more "epic" songs too of course, but I don't really see that happening..

Re: Aerosmith / Slashspirators Tour
I don't know where to put this, but.......
"South America in january after European Tour."
http://www.mygnrforum.com/index.php?/to ... ?p=3751067
Well then. How do people manage to do decent gigs in South America when AB has yet to go there?
On top of that, I still feel like AB needs to do one more decent Europe leg to call it a tour especially incorporating the Fortress songs that they have now become more comfortable in playing. When shall that happen, if it happens? When!!!!!!!! If!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Aerosmith / Slashspirators Tour
Taking into account the fact that Slash usually picks from songs that he played before with VR or SS, I guess it could be "Used To Love Her". Easy to imagine this piece with Todd... And yes, vmt, "You Could Be Mine" is my favourite one too!!!

I already have my ticket to the KC date! I'll probably start a board (if someone doesn't beat me to it!) closer to time.anguyen92 wrote:Here's five headlining shows in between the shows with Aerosmith. There could be more to come.

I am so pumped about this! I can't afford/am not a big enough Aerosmith fan to see them on the stadium tour. Excited to hear some new songs!
