the enemy you know consume attention.
Beware the pincer in the darkness,
depending on your lack of vision.

Waiting for a storm that never comes.
a mist that turns a cooling spray.
The gods bestow a turn of fate,
a traitor that only you create.

This battleground a poppy field,
past life always but a memory.
Look up to the receding storm.
Take heed of the broken forms.

You've broken ground for a new beginning,
at ease before the castle's risen.
