Hey all! Was working on learning this one and I have a couple of parts down, but I felt like it would be cool if the guitarists of the AB Nation could collaborate together and come up with all the parts to this song. If some are like me, there may be a couple of parts you're struggling with learning by ear, so if you know a part, please free to share and I'll add it to the original post! I'll start with the intro riff and we'll go from there. Tuning is Standard down a step and a half (C# F# B E G# C#), was confirmed by that picture of the setlist from the Listening Party. Here we go:

thats exactly what i was thinking for the intro. i'm working on the chorus right now.

Nice idea! :) You could also play 13 12 and 0's all the way until the next bar that starts with 13 12. I know it isn't played like that but sounds nearly the same and a lot easier. Recommended is to play it in Drop C# instead of C# standard, by my knowledge most people do that anyways. If you still want to tab it in C# Standard just transpose the power chords.

PM = All the single notes in the verses are only an idication of a note, not how many times its played, listed to the song so figure that out, also all the single notes in the verse ( 1, 3, 5 and 7 are all Palm Muted!!

Now the Rhythm guitar keeps playing this during the pre-chorus, as for the lead something is played in the D string (Db) but I haven't figured it out yet, tremolo picking for sure.

I know the actual note progression for the lead line in the pre-chorus is C#-E-A-G#/C#-E-A-G#-G(or F#, unsure) and then repeated. Trying to figure out the best way to play that in the original tuning. It looks like Mark starts on the 12th of the low Db-string, then ascends and plays the 10th fret on the A-string, 10th fret on the D, followed by 9th fret the first time and then either 8th or 7th fret the second time around. Not sure if that's right though, it would be an odd finger pattern going up the strings like that, or you'd have to bar the 10th on the A and D string..Gonna have to take a closer look at live videos. Also have Mark's clean breakdown before Eric's solo down, will post that soon

There's a cover on YouTube clearly showing what's played. Its in Drop C# though. But you could just move everything you see up 2 frets. Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hH-18Zt8u8A

It looks like 0 3 8 7 and then 0 3 8 7 6 on the Db string. All tremolo picked and with an effect.
In C# Standard it would be something like 222222222 55555555 101010101010 99999999 -- 222222222 55555555 101010101010 999 8888888

^Unsure about how many times you tremo-pick the final sequence, just a rough outline of somewhere to start. The single note sequences on the low string are palm muted. Starting with "point blank...", play the same thing as above except strum these chords rather than let them ring like before:

(Beginning of 3rd and 4th time)

^This part is tremo-picked, just gave the sequence of notes. Pretty sure this is how Mark plays it in the tuning. Repeat and end on a pinch harmonic. I use my pinky on the low E-string, my middle finger on the A-string and my ring finger on the D-string to start, but use whatever finger pattern is comfortable for you
