TREMONTI - CAUTERIZE TAB (ALMOST COMPLETE)
TREMONTI - CAUTERIZE TAB (ALMOST COMPLETE)
Alright guys, I'm addicted to this song already. Probably my favorite by Mark's solo act, so I immediately wanted to learn it, and since there's no solo, I felt a bit more confident to attempt it. This tab is going off the live video from Rockville. I wasn't able to fully make out the intro, but it's close enough. Pretty confident in the chorus and bridge as well. The only thing I couldnt pick up were the octaves in the verses due to Mark's finger positioning looking off to me. If anyone wants to tab out the verse or make any corrections, feel free to respond by posting here! Just a rough start but this is for anyone who wants to try and learn it ASAP.
TREMONTI - CAUTERIZE (Drop C#/Db Tuning)
INTRO RIFF
D#- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |
A#- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |
F#- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |

G#- - - - - 1 1 - - - - 4 1 1 |
C#-0-0-0...-1 000 - 4 1 000 1 |
(Tremo^) *** ***
Then it ends with Tremo picked harmonics each time on the low C#. I think the order goes 1:10th fret, 2:3rd fret 3: 2nd(?) fret
And then during the final time, I think he just plays the open low C# before going into the octave verse that I don't have figured out...The rhythm of the intro feels a little like the riff Mark plays under Myles' solo in Isolation.
CHORUS (Chords)
D# - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -|
A# - - - -(10) - - (11) - (6) - - - -|

C# - - - - 7 - - - - 8 - - - 3 - 2 - - -|
This progression is played 2x during the first two choruses, 4x the final chorus. Pretty sure the octaves are correct

BRIDGE (Part 2:Chords)

F#- 5 - 3 - 2 - 3 |
C#- 3 - 3 -0 - 1 |
G#- 3 - 1 -0 - 1 |
C#- - - - - -0 - - |
This progression is played a few times leading into the main riff again as well as the final chorus.
Haven't attmpted the outro yet, will try and figure it out tomorrow! This isn't 100% accurate and some parts are missing, but that's what other musicians are here for! Feel free to post corrections or other parts that I'm missing. And to everyone who tries to use this to learn, enjoy! Can't wait for this album! \m/

Re: TREMONTI - CAUTERIZE TAB (WORK IN PROGRESS)
Sorry, some of the tab isn't displayed correctly. Some of the fret #s were moved when I posted, as well as the palm muting(*) stuff. The triplets (000) are really the only things palm muted other than some chords (x) in the bridge.

Re: TREMONTI - CAUTERIZE TAB (ALMOST COMPLETE)
Looking at the bridge, I suddenly remember what the bridge reminds me of (the first part): Between Angels and Insects by Papa Roach. Only a little though, it's just the way he takes his notes.

Cool dude, thanks! Let me know what you think about what I've got here. The only thing I'm questioning is the harmonics in the riffaustinjhnsn wrote:I've kinda got the verses figured out, but Im on my iphone so thats not the easiest thing to tab stuff out on.
