Have you ever made a list of your 10 favorite and 10 least favorite lists?

I'm listening to the album on YouTube right now although I think the copy I'm hearing is garbage quality. I enjoyed Dark, Failure, Hollow, Never Again, The Great Divide, Defeated, Dawn. You can count the intros/outros if you want to or not, but I really like that kind of thing and I wish AB would do it just once.

I really like Ashes of Eden. The songs I listed above are enjoyable but a little generic, but Ashes gave me that old BB ballad feel, and (in my mind) I was suddenly 10 years back in a special moment with someone when we'd listen to ballads like Forever and Rain. I'll give it another listen tomorrow too see how I feel about it after it's sunk in a little, but I really only didn't care for 2-3 songs. It definitely doesn't have the same feel as their first three albums but I like it better than Dear Agony.

Ranking it against what I think Ben is capable of rather than on a universal scale, I give it a B.

I'm somewhat disappointed to be honest. Don't ge me wrong, it's basically a good album, it's exactly what you'd expect from Breaking Benjamin but that is the problem. It's simply another typical BB album. With so many years off the radar and a completely new band I expected something a little bit different, a bit of progress. The songs are still very predictable. Maybe they'll grow on me more in time because as I said before, they are still good, there's just that little something extra missing.

The more I listen to the album, the more I think the instrumentals are relatively strong in regards to what BB has put out, but the melodies are vocals are not exactly what I've come to expect from Ben. Overall decent album, but it could have been so much more.

7/10

Personally i love this album. Sure its generic BB most of the time, which is just Ben's way of writing, but its a great comeback and has a few really great songs.

Generic BB is the way to go after being gone for so long.

They will be rewarded with their first #1 album. I think what is more impressive is how they will set band record the number of copies sold during the first week.

I had this album on replay so much when it first came out. This album was very well done.

Garbage album. Not a single decent track.

I never really could get into them after their debut, though. A couple of great songs here and there, but the albums just keep getting worse.

Of course, that's just me.

Got to see these guys live tonight. They put on a hell of a show! Had some guest singers for some tracks (bassist, rhythm guitarist, and opening band lead singer), played all the hits, and had a ton of energy. Great band, great show.

113k views within 16 hours. Seems like BB i still relevant. At least in the states. Tbh I don't know anyone here in Germany who really listens to this band. That new song is pretty solid tho.

The whole new album is pretty good. One band that I love BECAUSE they stay with their token sound. I wouldn't like them nearly as much if they changed their sound.

Almost felt alsleep listening to it. Glad it lasts only 38 minutes. Is this band capable of writing anything different than the same melodies and alike riffs all the time?

Gonna have to agree w ya Dolo, it was cool on Phobia and Dear Agony, but that sounds inspired and fresh to my ears. This is too repetitive to be interesting anymore :shrug

I dig Psycho, Blood and Feed the Wolf which seems the be the general consensus as most people as those videos have the most views from the individual album tracks BB released on their YouTube channel. I could have liked Save Yourself but the lyrics are so fucking emo. The rest of the songs I can't even get into. It's weird because their older albums had tracks I loved with other tracks I enjoyed but played less frequently, the rest of these are just skip tracks for me.

Damn good track.

Don’t get me wrong I dig the basic premise of BB’s sound, but I need more to the lyrics and need more emotion behind it.

It's been a while since somebody posted in here. I'm just starting to get into Breaking Benjamin. I saw them live at Louder Than Life last year and really like three of their songs: I Will Not Bow, Failure, and Angels Fall.

I even made a cover of I Will Not Bow. I think the outro ends too soon, so I wrote a brutal riff to end the song instead. It's my favorite original riff. Too bad I didn't use it in an original song!

one thing i thought about the newest BB album was i thought the screaming helped keep the songs fresh.

Compared to if we had just got the same vocal melodies again and again
