Had one of these on the last boards, and I just got TLM...so, any fans?

I have only had a couple run throughs with the new(ish) album, but I like what he's done. The first album had some solid songwriting and I'm sure I'll find the same on this one once I dig deeper.

I'm a fan of him. Last I heard, he's no longer with RCA, but he released a new single a couple months ago without a label to back it. I'm not sure if he'll go indie or if someone will pick him up, but I'm interested to see where his career will go from here. I thought TLM was a better album overall than the sales reflected it to be. It's a bit of a concept album lyrically, the opening and closing tracks mesh perfectly with each other.

Different sound compared to most of his past work. Very pop driven, but it's pretty catchy.

He's from the KC area. I actually got to hear sing sing the Star Spangled Banner at a Royals game a few years ago (he was still on American Idol then).

That's cool. I knew he was big on Kansas City sports teams. He talks about the Chiefs a lot during football season.

It's a pity because his voice is absolutely beautiful.

I dont mind the album. It's not bad, but it's not too amazing either. I'll never understand why he isn't more popular.

It's a solid album, but it stays pretty tame throughout. I missed hearing songs with huge choruses like Declaration and Heroes. But overall, the songwriting is solid. I really enjoyed Home Movies which I'm assuming is an ode to his brother who passed away a few years ago.

Very predictible, very generic.
I enjoyed Home Movies too (as well as Kiss & Tell - nice dynamics).
Again - good voice but mediocre music.
