I'm actually more excited for the idea of a new album with the original 5 in the studio. I can understand having more people in the live band. Adler probably can't handle full sets/tour dates, and Izzy's songwriting was always more important to the band than his live persona. So if they want to have a different drummer live where Adler makes appearances on certain Appetite songs, and another guitarist to play in place of Izzy at times, then that's understandable. But the album idea has me very interested.

I dont think a new album is going to happen. I mean it would be fucking amazing, but ehh. We are talking about Axl Rose in the end.

Why is Matt Sorum not involved? Far better drummer than Adler.

Adler makes the band sound better, even though he might not be the most technical drummer. Honestly I don't care about Sorum at all.

Both shit on Ferrer though.

I've read a lot about this and people who know stuff are 90% sure about this.
Axl, Slash and Duff had an agreement before about ruling the band, then it went all power to Axl and know they are back to the original. They are not saying who is in band because it's not 100% sure. Will it be Izzy, Matt, Gilby, Popcorn or someone different and will it be only for Coachella or for the full tour or something. There will try to have new songs, for an album or just to play one or two live or to release as an ep, single or something. Nobody knows but Slash and Duff are working on that and it involves Izzy too.

edit:
Also, Slash's management said that everyone involved are forbidden to say almost anything about reunion until they allow them too

$14 Million dollars for their Coachella performance.

https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/ge ... _life.html

That's alot of freaking money for I think it is 2 shows.

If Slash and the Conspirators ever actually fire back up again down the road then it tells me Slash really does just love playing his guitar, because I don't see how he can ever go back to small venues and mediocre money when you consider what he will make for just a few shows with GNR.

The money he makes with Myles and the Conspirators is not mediocre. Sure, it's not really big money compared to GNR, but at least, it's decent money. I'd love it if AB makes the amount of cash Slash's band makes (and even AB are making decent money, just not enough to fix all of their financial problems).

Right, so GNR has announced two shows in Vegas before Coachella. Ticket prices range from $80 for the crap seats all the way to $350 in the floor. Also, get this. They are doing a VIP package for, wait for it, $2,500. Here's the details for it.

Looks cool and all, and it's probably worth it to those that are going to spend $2,500, but for me, that AB VIP for life does not seem that bad to me in terms of value. At least, I get the opportunity to see as many shows as I desire and hang out backstage and soundcheck anyway. You only get one show out of GNR for that money along with all of the other perks.

Party favors, memories to last a lifetime... Woo!

To be fair, going backstage at a GNR show seems a bit more exciting than at an AB show. Still ridiculously expensive though.

Acoustic gig in the Troubadour (or how this venue is called).
I'm actually curious if they are really playing tonight.

According to Slash's Twitter. It's official. Big stadium tour in the US, here are the dates. To be fair, as a modern guy that do not care much about GNR, aside from a couple of songs, even in their heyday, I'll be surprised if they do great numbers with these, but I guess the intrigue could justify it.

Wednesday, June 29, 2016    Kansas City, MO    Arrowhead Stadium

How amazing is it that they're calling it the "Not In This Lifetime" tour?

Axl looks so different now. I have only seen some snippets on instagram. Seems like he sounded pretty ballsy on Welcome To The Jungle. On the other hand he sounded like Mickey Mouse on Paradise City.
