Sweet! Lemme know what you think. I think the album is a perfect combo of very memorable moments and then some other songs that have a ton of depth and require you to really dig in multiple times. Definitely one of my favorite albums at the moment.Timotheus wrote:I liked that a lot! I'll check out the full album later tonight.

Re: New Albums
Here's another left field recommendation. Tom Misch. He recently released an EP called Reverie that is AMAZING. And he has some other albums that i can't wait to check out. Frankly, every song i've heard is simply great. Like a mix of hiphop/funk/jazz vibes. He's a very creative guitarist with a ridiculously smooth voice. Can't rec this enough. Here's a couple tunes...

Re: New Albums
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' new album is heartbreaking. Grief in its purest musical form. Stunning.

Re: New Albums
The new Bon Iver lives up to the hype. It needs a few listens to get used to, because of the huge change in sound, but it's absolutely worth it. Incredible album.
The studio version of this song is not on Youtube yet, but here's a live performance. Equally stunning:
I've been really obsessed with this song the last few days.

Re: New Albums
Not incredibly new, but new to me, I just discovered a band called Royal Republic and fell in love. Upbeat, fun as hell Rock & Roll. From Sweden. Great stuff.

Re: New Albums
The new Neal Morse Band album is fantastic. Mike Portnoy wasn't overhyping the album when he called it the best album of his career. I really like some of the older Dream Theater albums.. I've seen them live once and I'm a big Petrucci fan, but this album really is something else. If you like prog, this is an album you must hear.
This is the intro song. It's quite an important song, because a lot of musical themes used in this song come back in different kind of forms on this album (AKA, if you don't like the sound of this song, stay away from this album).

Hell yeah! Not their biggest fan granted. I hadn;t listened to them for years and then I see the new stuff on Spotify and gave it a listen. Very impressive. My fave song by them is the obvious one though, Don't Say A WordLotha wrote:Omg there's someone else here who likes Sonata? :OThe Plotblocker wrote:YES!!!!!!Lotha wrote:Just listened to the new Sonata Arctica album, and MY HYPE HAS BEEN JUSTIFIEDDD

They're my favorite band, though I wasn't the greatest fan of their previous two albums, but the latest one is amazing. The Plotblocker wrote:Hell yeah! Not their biggest fan granted.
