Good to see you, Nick! Still need to give the Kamasi Washington album(s) a listen, but it's sooo long. I never find time for it.

Good to see you too! It took me a while but then NPR posted a concert where they performed it for like 2 hours and I was entranced from beginning to end.

Armored Saint's Win Hands Down is my favorite album this year (after Tremonti, of course).

I'm counting the days until the new Queensrÿche and Maiden albums are out.
Another photobucket casualty... :(

Charlie Barnes released a new album a few months ago. It's pretty fantastic. One moment it's this really intimate Buckley-esque singer songwriter record and other moments it's this bombastic, almost Muse-like rock record. It's really bold when it wants to be. It's structurally really well written and the lyrics are great as well. Definitely worth checking out if you like some of these artists: Jeff Buckley, Muse, Radiohead, Queen...

The name of the record is "More Stately Mansions".

The new Noah Gundersen record is incredible. He released one of my favorite records of last year and looks like he's done it again. This guy is easily becoming one of my favorite upcoming artists. If you're looking for some great singer-songwriter albums, this album (Carry The Ghost) and his last one are highly recommended.

Songs I recommend on this album: Halo, Blossom, Heartbreaker, The Difference.

Saw this band live recently and they were great. Sound live just like their 2015 EP, Collide. Made me think of Adelitas Way + synth keyboard or http://www.1echo1.com/
Produced by John Moyer of Disturbed. John refers to 1 Echo 1 as " absolutely the most promising rock band he's ever produced." John went on to describe this Central Pennsylvania based band as "Combining cutting edge electronic with solid rock riffs and heartfelt lyrics sung with a thick voice, 1 Echo 1 creates a fresh and easily identifiable powerful sound which is a rare thing in rock right now."

The new The Dear Hunter album is really good. It's prog rock, but without all the wank. It's got some great story telling and a wide variety of instruments and styles. Definitely worth a listen if you're into the genre.

This was the first single:

The new Daughter album is so good. Especially the second half is ridiculously good, but I really like Doing The Right Thing and the opener as well. Can't wait to see them live in February.

Favorite songs: Alone / With You, No Care, New Ways

New Daughter is INCREDIBLE.
Probably not an album I can listen to very often, the experience is just too overwhelming...

I also like the second half better - surprising it's actually heavier and more dynamic than the first.
FYI I'm a woman.

Anyone gave a shot to the new Wolfmother album? I'm listening to it right now on Spotify. Through with the first two songs. So far so good. Interesting mix of good ol' Wolfmother and some new style I can not really describe.

Yea, I saw earlier today that they released something. I'm gonna give it a listen later tonight, but I can't say I'm expecting too much after their (his) latest efforts. I still like their debut a lot though, so hopefully it will be good.

I really liked the first two Wolfmother albums. Stockdales solo album was okay, the latest Wolfmother album complete bullshit. But that wasn't much of a surprise since this album was made within 4 weeks due to that fact that they just wanted to catch on the festival train in 2014. Victorious seems to be much better. I listened to it once, and there are some good songs on it. After only one listen I'd rate it 7/10
