So I noticed this band doesn't have a thread here; yet I've also noticed there has been users who mentioned them in the WAYLTRN thread and I figured maybe I'd make one.

When I first heard them; I heard their 3rd and 4th albums because of Dan Chandlers joining with Disturbed members to create "Fight Or Flight". So naturally; I thought they only had one singer (Dan Chandler) but I found out that they had a previous singer before him as well. Now maybe this is where the opinions differ; but I personally don't like pre-Chandler Evans Blue because of Kevin Matisyn's voice. Which singer do you guys prefer? I also feel like their guitarist (Vlad Tanaskovic) is very low-key in this band; his solos sound like they'd be great if he chose to do more of them and stand out more.

I've only heard part of Graveyard. But I like the half-album or so that I heard. He has some cool vocal melodies going on.

1. Personally, I liked Kevin a lot because he had a unique voice, so I'd say Kevin.
2. The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume
3. Fear
4. A friend of mine in AIT (Army training) let me listen to them, back when they only had one album. Played Cold (But I'm Still Here) for me and I was hooked from there.
5. Bring back Kevin... but it won't happen.

Matisyn's voice can be annoying in the long run.. Still, I always liked this unexpected melancholy he can deliver.
It particularly stands out in Parabelle - I find it may more interesting than Evans Blue as a whole.

This was posted on their Facebook page on the 23rd of July. That's all there is.

We will officially be hitting the studio September 5 to start recording our next album. Stay tuned for updates, pics and videos of the entire process. Until then, enjoy the rest of your summer, EB Nation and prepare for a heavy Fall. We've missed you.

I like the old Evans Blue with Kevin Matisyn better. I first got into them when I heard Cold (But I'm Still Here) on the radio. When the self-titled album came out with Dan I gave it a shot but didn't like it at all. I haven't even heard Graveyard. I guess I should at least check it out.
