Whatever instrument you play, these guys are better..... damn this is a great band. Love the heavy jazz style.

Love at 2:12 where everything just goes a bit mental. Those crazy slide/harmonic fills in between riffs are great.

Re: IF somebody is going to save the world it's this guy.
I loved the part in the first video with the toys and the phones
I also loved it when Guthrie played the first part of the Whole Lotta Love solo for fun. That's the kind of tongue-in-cheek humor only musicians have.

Not only played that Whole Lotta Love bit but did it pitch perfect on a fretless!! He seems like a great happy-go-lucky bloke.
This is pretty awesome:

Wow that's mental.
I've heard of Guthrie many times reading Guitarist magazine but holy crap that video was funny. Love the rubber chicken screamo section!!

I'm also a fairly recent convert. Makes me seriously need to get some lessons in jazz guitar theory. It sounds like it gives you so many options when improvising.
I've amended the title to include the other guys, both are also fantastic. Marco Minneman was one of the guys that tried out for the Dream Theater spot.

There's this project too! Steve Wilson (Porcupine Tree) new one features Guthrie and Marco! The last minute and a half is mint!

The Raven That Refused To Sing featured both of them as well. It sucked that Marco didn't tour with them though.

Sweet. Cheers BUK. I didn't know that Steven Wilson was putting on another record with the same group. Drive Home was an absolute classic from the last one. Guthrie really put the feels into that guitar solo:

Just, oh my goodness. This is amazing. Exactly how you integrate an orchestra into your music. They made space where they needed and then put the orchestra into the background when required. It helps that these guys are so cinematic anyway.

Crumbso, thanks for sharing this band.
Saw this guys last Saturday and it's so fun!
They really love playing together. Always in a good mood, laughing, talkative to the crowd, goofy... not to mention what great musicians they are.
I had a blast!
