Have fun man. I have seen them twice, and they never disappoint. If you get the rail just remember, if you rock out, they see it and respond.

They were so great in every way. I couldn't get off work early so got there just before they started but I found a good area with most people dancing and singing along. They definitely respond! Part of what I loved was the crowd.

I found myself headbanging and stomping the floor during the middle riff of your Island vid. Love that tune. Hopefully it becomes a setlist staple.

Yeah, one of my favorites from the new album and it's great live. Rewatching that video and noticed even the security dude is bobbing his head :)

Edit to add - It was a joy watching Pete and Dean play, I don't have the technical terms for it, but just this easy natural liquid extension of themselves. I guess Pete has switched from PRS to Fender and not having seen him before I can't say the difference but it all sounded great to me. They get an amazing sound from just guitar + bass + drums.

Chevelle La Gargola, Track by Track Part 1
Sam Loeffler provides Track by Track commentary on An Island, Hunter Eats Hunter, Take Out The Gunman, and Under The Knife. Stay tuned for Part 2!

Love the commentary but I hate blurry handheld hyperedited video :nausea emoticon:

More tour dates! Wish i had presale codes, but also hate buying winter tickets months ahead.

openers are Crobot and Lesser Key for the dates I checked. Not a Crobot fan but listening to Lesser Key for the first time and they are interesting so far.

Unfortunately, nowhere near me. I'm sure I'll catch them on the next cycle. They always hit the venue that's 90 minutes from my house because the crowd energy there is insane.

That was one of my favorite things about seeing Chevelle. I can rock out on my own and be the weirdo, but more fun with company and the band plays off of it :)

I don't know if they're adding more dates or if this is it. Not sure if I'll make this cycle - the nearest is during the week.

Yeah, I'm glad they chose it. Did you happen to get their autographed cd when you saw them live a few months ago? You can't beat La Gargola autographed for 10 bucks.

No, missed that! I think I missed out on the merch entirely, maybe it was already packed up at the end of the show. I think I was anxious to hit the road. I don't have any concerts planned which is making me sad so I need to look at my calendar and those Chevelle dates again!

Enjoy, man. If you have never seen them before, you're in for a treat. It gets pretty wild. I was crushed against the rail several times during the last show by the surge of the pit behind me. But it's worth it. They put on a great show.

My show wasn't as wild as Drew's but it was fun! Hope it lives up to our hype. This board has pushed me toward lots of good music.

Looking at their tour schedule. Wonder if they'll fill in more dates early/mid May. Not sure I want to see The Used. Am I reading it correctly that Chevelle opens unless they're marked closing? http://getmorechevelle.com/

Looks that way to me. BTW, I have learned the main riff to Face to the Floor on guitar. Been rocking it for a coupe of days now.
