I'm fairly confident I'll like the album, because Soundgarden can't really go wrong :lol, but nothing really jumped out at me from that clip, other than how thin Chris' voice sounds, but it's just a small preview. It's good to have an album title and release date, I'm definately looking forward to this. If it lives up to my expectations it'll be album of the year for me.

I've been listening to Superunknown alot recently, that album is really good. I used to think Badmotorfinger was my favourite Soundgarden album, but now I'd struggle to decide between the two.

The crazy timing and weaving held together by Matt's drumming... classic SG :)

Comments by Chris about The Ramones
http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/ ... a-20120820
"...Mingling with his family in the VIP section was Cornell, who first met Johnny Ramone while on tour in Australia. The guitarist had heard Soundgarden's cover of the Ramones' "I Can't Give You Anything," a version "that he actually liked, which apparently was rare," Cornell told Rolling Stone. "We were friends ever since."

The two bands also toured together as part of Lollapalooza in 1996. Their friendship was especially meaningful for Cornell, who first discovered the Ramones when he was 16, years before the band was recognized as an essential influence on the generations that came after.

"Some things are ahead of their time. The greats are always eventually understood to be that," Cornell said. "I went from AC/DC to them. Before that it was prog-rock. It was AC/DC that led me to understand what good music was, and then it was the Ramones. It changed my life.""

Superunknown is a beast, so many top, top songs on that album.

New song sounds interesting, can't believe there's a new album coming!
For all of the hope that it brings...

Sounds a lot like Pearl Jam circa ´95 Vitalogy,
..and not very heavy SG.

Short news piece - first single title to be "Been Away Too Long" - as the article says, apt choice!

I had a long run of listening to it every night as I got ready for bed and fell asleep. Quiet rainy evening after a long frustrating week, I should pop it in the CD player now.

Tweeted today, looks like album art background and like part of what we saw at the end of the Worse Dreams preview.

Their new single was played on some radio last Friday unexpectedly, but it doesn't seem like anyone recorded it. It should be out on Wednesday.
