I love them. And they have a new album coming out in September. This is the lead off single.

I know they're not for everybody, but I think Rob Thomas is a hell of a song writer.

I like some of their songs, some of their stuff is really meh though. I like Kody, Back 2 Good and Rest Stop the best. Oh and Bright Lights.

Yeah, like some other bands I love. Their first album was their best. Then it got all about radio...

Did you not like "How Far We've Come" either? The new song reminds me of that one.

It's better than the new song but still... like you said it's all about radio.

I'm a fan, I like their stuff. But this new single is just disappointing. It's an all right song on its own merits, but compared to the bands previous music it's pretty bad. It doesn't have that raw emotion I liked about their music. I don't feel anything from it. It sounds too much like modern pop bands. Doesn't sound like MB20.

I've always loved their music even though it's kind of at odds with the rest of my record collection. I saw them live at a very muddy Glastonbury festival in '98, I remember being blown away by how good Rob Thomas sounded live, he was flawless.

The new single sounds ok on first listen, obviously aimed squarely at radio play, but it's ok for what it is. I look forward to the new album - it's a nice surprise, I had no idea they had got back together.

My first real concert was the matchsticks, and while this song doesn't have those "raw lyrics" it will get to the top of the charts. RT knows know to write a song that people will listen to, is it my favorite song ever of mb20's? No, not at all. Is it a catchy, number one song? Yes. Absolutley.

Arghhhhh, new album is mostly crap :(

And yet it starts so well, Parade is a great song then it just kind of drops off a cliff. Ho hum.

Their debut was the best. they'vve slowly turned into this radio friendly pop band.

Long Day, Kody, Argue were awesome

I think if their goal was to get their music into night clubs, and on the alternative/pop radio stations, then they certainly met their goal. I could see alot of these songs playing at the local clubs with the beats and stuff, however, it isn't 90's matchsticks, and I'm very dissapointed. Listened to the album once, just gunna forget that album was even made by MB20, didn't stay in my library long at all... oh well, they have so many singles they HAVE to play on tour, I won't miss them when they come close :cheers

I have to drag this thread up and disagree.... this album isn't crap. Yeah.. there's all kinds of stuff on it that (Hands Up is like the most synth club song ever, but fun)

Listen to the words of Sleeping at the Wheel and a bunch of others (Parade).

I wasn't a huge fan of mb20 even in the beginning, they definately grew on me (saw them first time in 2000). Back to Good is the song that hooked me.

Give this album a chance. North has some incredibly deep things on it, and some fun things too.

My current favorite is Sleeping at the Wheel.

From the new album 'North'.
Lyrics:
I,
I could be anything
But for the fault that I've acquired on my way
We
We were the end of it
But now we see the sun shining in our face
We see the sun shining in our face

So come on, come on we can be saved
The lives we live, the wars we wage
When everyone just tells us how to feel
We're sleeping at the wheel

And I
I would give anything
But for the grace of God I'm here and still aware
We know the end is overrated
We've became the walls we raise
We don't believe enough but we still cared
Standing on the edge without a prayer

So come on, come on it's all we got
Our hands are full, our lives are not
The loose affiliation with the real
We're sleeping at the wheel

All of the time we've lost
All of the love we gave
And now these hands are tied
I can't help thinking
That I was in the days I was losing my place
I was screaming out at everything
Waiting for the walls to come down
Before my moments starts of fade
But everything that's perfect falls away

So come on, come on we can be saved
The lives we live, the wars we wage
When everyone just tells us how to feel
We're sleeping at the wheel
We're sleeping at the wheel
Just sleeping at the wheel

The Greenville show was awesome... sounded great as usual.

The summer leg is outdoors with the Goo Goo Dolls. Seats are really reasonable, so even if you just 'think' you like some stuff, GO!

Their first album was pretty damn good.

Also, “I believe in everything” is pretty good for a bonus track.
