I've only listened to the new album twice (and not very attentively), but the ballads on this album are incredible. The rockier songs haven't really stood out to me yet. I feel they lack the infectious grooves which the songs had the on the first album, I'm thinking of Your Secrets Safe With Me, Capital T, Independence Day, Two Tickets and a Room. Before You Arrived does have a great groove though. I'm sure on further listens the songs will grow on me.

I hope this band have a promising future. Their first album was great and I knew we'd be getting some good stuff from them eventually.

The first album was a tough act to follow. Infectious might the right word to use here. There was something about the first album that was just so contagious, and I'm not instantly getting that vibe here. I still think it's a really good album. From the rockier songs the opener and Hard to Look Away are really cool.
