Listening to the album, right now. It's all right, so far. I will say it's better than the 2nd one.

The chorus in Gonna Get Mine sounds so familiar though. I just can't think what it reminds me of, atm.

Favorites of the album so far. I Am The Fire, Dear Daughter, Mayhem, The Reckoning, and What Sober Couldn't Say. I think the consensus is clear. For people that don't like the band and thinks the lyrics are too cliche, this album won't change their perspective. That said, those that really like the band should be pleased with the result and I applaud them for wanting to take their sound to strange directions (especially the country-like sounding direction).

I always say that I'm always happy and proud of them for pretty much making the most of the opportunities they are given and run away with it with a lot of momentum (especially in a touring sense). This album is no exception. All I can say is keep it up.

It's because the melody and the "na-na-na na-na-na" vocals and instrumental melodies have been reused for probably almost a century in music.

"Hey Jude" by The Beatles
https://youtu.be/t5c-LVYnafg?t=3m9s

"Gunfight" by Sick Puppies
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ixlPowYRpw

"Gonna Get Mine" by Halestorm
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ph8mkgP8_Q

"Gonna Get Ready" by Europe
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXtVX-sICYg

"Smak" by Satelite (this one seemed a bit far fetched but I can see the resemblance)
https://youtu.be/3LCj4M_QDBE?t=1m26s

These are all the examples I could find so far. But the song still sounded very familiar melody-wise to me, too, and I'd never heard of any of these songs beforehand so I'm still trying to find the example I've heard it from...

It's not the nanana's. It's the melody, it's incredibly familiar to another song, but I can't think of which one either.

And you'd never heard Hey Jude before?

NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP
NEVER GONNA LET YOU DOWN
NEVER GONNA RUN AROUND AND DESERT YOU
NEVER GONNA MAKE YOU CRY
NEVER GONNA SAY GOODBYE
NEVER GONNA TELL A LIE AND HURT YOU

That was probably the song I was thinking of when I heard that chorus.

FYI, there's a live stream on Yahoo today. 9:30 PM EST. I've been wanting to watch a pro-shot of them playing a good headlining set, for a while now, so that should be interesting.

Can somebone help me understand why 'Unapologetic' didn't make it to the basic version of the album?
It's one of their best songs ever and they just left it out.

Btw this album is not as bad as I thought it would be.

I agree it's one of the better tracks of the album. Didn't hear it till later. I love its chorus. Maybe they confused it with Apocalyptic? :D

It is a pretty good song. I can see why it's a bonus track if they felt like they couldn't find a spot to fit it in the album though. This is the first time I felt like they made an album and not just a collection of songs.
