Did they record all the stuff with all the amps in the same room? If that was the case, Andy's theory might be right, but usually when people record all instruments together the amps are in other rooms so there's no overlap.

I'm not quite sure how it was setup. I'm getting the feeling they put everything in the same room which caused the mics to pick stuff up from other instruments.

Interesting, I'm looking forward to hearing the acapella outro.

Mayhem is a pretty awesome track. Didn't expect such a cool song from Halestorm to be honest. Apocalyptic is okay too. Who knows, probably the upcoming album will be the first Halestorm album i'll really like.

I didn't like either one. Frankly, since the EP before the second album I haven't cared for anything they've done.

meh. :shrug Nothing too exciting for me. Or maybe I was just too focused on the video and drawn in by it's tackiness.

Boring chorus.. The verses were okay and I liked how it started out with the percussion.

once again i'm unimpressed. No maturity and originality here. Kind of generic rock music here. The music doesn't even feel like it's on another level, you know? This song was a step back in terms of skill.

I don't know, this one is my favourite of the three but they all feel like just whatever songs. I'm still looking forward to the album because the songs are good for what they are, but with these three I'm not exactly expecting any masterpieces.

Seems like someone plans to enter the mainstream charts. Well, why not? I'd prefer this kind of Rock over Kendrick Lamar and Lil Wayne. But still I hope that the album is going to sound more like "Mayhem" and less like the other two released songs. But even Apocalyptic isn't really lame. Might be a decent record.

She always looks like she has to convince everyone she's a badass rock bitch. Why can't she just be herself?
And the song is generic as fuck :)

The intro reminds me too much of Scott Stapp's Jesus Was A Rockstar..

Finally got around to listen to Amen. My thoughts are that all musically and vocally, they did fine. That said, I'm not digging the overall vibe/lyrics/etc. of the song and the video that reflected it. Felt too try-hard-to-be-cool and be this gritty rock star cliche for me to really relate to the song.

I did enjoy the beginning bits of the video where their day-time jobs was pissing them off and they were like "Screw this, I'm going to go play with my band."

Jumping on the the bad song train again. lol awful lyrics as usual & the theme is cringe worthy imo. It seriously sounds like a bad local Christian Rock band wrote it. I'm not just saying this to trash the band btw.. I was really hoping for something fresh.

What rock radio station plays Lil Wayne?

I must be the only person here who doesn't expect every band to take their lyrics very seriously. For every Metallica there's a Motely Crüe.

A good riff always helps but I have trouble with poo lyrics, one of the dominant reasons I can't listen to rap. It works when you don't know the song that well or can't make out the words, but once you know the lyrics are crap it really detracts from the experience.

I'm going to see these next week in Manchester and I'm actually pretty excited. I wasn't much of a fan of the first single on the new album but loving everything else I've heard.
