Yea lots of people don't really like him, you can get the first album instrumentally though and the vocalist improved a hell of a lot on the second one from what i heard so far.Macca wrote:Used to like these guys, went off them though, I really don't like the vocalist

Some of the vocals on the debut are somewhat grating, but from what I've heard from the new album, the vocals sound a ton better, so perhaps you'll enjoy Periphery II better.Macca wrote:Used to like these guys, went off them though, I really don't like the vocalist
bit like coheed in that respectMacca wrote:Used to like these guys, went off them though, I really don't like the vocalist

Hell yes it is been listening allmost all day now and i still love it, some transitions between some of the track sections could be better but that's the only bad thing i can think off, love it.Heretic wrote:THIS ALBUM IS FANTASTIC
Great tracks! Passenger was a single off the special edition off their debut though, but yea also thought it would be part of II when it came out.DeadCell wrote:Check out "Passenger", the first single from their new album. I heard it on XM a few months ago and that's what turned me on to them. I also love "Icarus Lives!", "Jetpacks Was Yes", and "Captain On".
Oh man would have loved to meet them as well, catched them on that tour too.Rosenblaetter wrote:I had the opportunity to spend some time with these guys backstage during their European tour (they were supporting Dream Theather) earlier this year. Unfortunately didn't hear them live that night.
Bunch of crazy dudes (Mark Holcomb is extremely nice).
They had a lot of members changes in the past but I feel like right now they finally consolidated as a band - the second album should be a good thing.
Bit too heavy for me, I'm afraid.
Haha yea to each their own, i personally love the clean vocalsMacca wrote:Vocals still sound whiny. I'll give it a listen later.
What's funny - I didn't know them at that time so I didn't really care ;PDayviewer wrote: Oh man would have loved to meet them as well, catched them on that tour too.
The current line up does seem good, and since a few hours ago Nolly is also now a permanent bassist so that's great!
