Probably not many (or none :lol ) other fans than me around here but i thought i'd give it a shot :lol
:D Image :D
These guys have the PERFECT balance of styles for me, one moment beatifull soaring choruses and the other insanely heavy parts full of agression :cloud9 , definatly my favorite band for a while now.
Second album coming out in 2 weeks as well, so stoked for this one!
Anybody else like these guys or been trying to get into them?

Haha no it's cool. I recognized who you were pretty quickly, but it just threw me off for a second. I've seen you post about these guys a lot. Any song you'd suggest trying first?

These 2 are definatly the easiest to get into:

They have some WAYYY heavier stuff though haha

Yea lots of people don't really like him, you can get the first album instrumentally though and the vocalist improved a hell of a lot on the second one from what i heard so far.

Maybe a bit of a 30 Seconds to Mars influence in there? I dig the first track you posted. I'll give the 2nd one a listen too.

Some of the vocals on the debut are somewhat grating, but from what I've heard from the new album, the vocals sound a ton better, so perhaps you'll enjoy Periphery II better.

MAKE TOTAL DESTROY! is awesome, btw.

Check out "Passenger", the first single from their new album. I heard it on XM a few months ago and that's what turned me on to them. I also love "Icarus Lives!", "Jetpacks Was Yes", and "Captain On".

I had the opportunity to spend some time with these guys backstage during their European tour (they were supporting Dream Theather) earlier this year. Unfortunately didn't hear them live that night.
Bunch of crazy dudes (Mark Holcomb is extremely nice).

They had a lot of members changes in the past but I feel like right now they finally consolidated as a band - the second album should be a good thing.
Bit too heavy for me, I'm afraid.

Vocals still sound whiny. I'll give it a listen later.

Hell yes it is :D been listening allmost all day now and i still love it, some transitions between some of the track sections could be better but that's the only bad thing i can think off, love it.

Great tracks! Passenger was a single off the special edition off their debut though, but yea also thought it would be part of II when it came out.
Captian On is great too though i don't listen to it as much since it's on the EP.

Oh man would have loved to meet them as well, catched them on that tour too.
The current line up does seem good, and since a few hours ago Nolly is also now a permanent bassist so that's great!

Haha yea to each their own, i personally love the clean vocals

What's funny - I didn't know them at that time so I didn't really care ;P
