The Official Smash Into Pieces Thread

I remember someone finding these guys on the old board because he thought the singer resembled Myles. Not sure if they're really that similar, but I think he has a good tone to his voice. Anyways, they finally released their debut album a few weeks ago. Some of the new tracks are pretty solid if anyone wants to check them out.

Album sounds awful from what I've heard. Pity, had high hopes for these guys.

It's more of a pop-rock album I guess. The album has some hit and miss moments for me, but I've enjoyed some of the songs.

It automatically fails for not having Angel on it

Yeah I was surprised they left that one off. Picture Of You was pretty popular too. Thought they picked some weaker tracks from the EP to be on the album.

I love it. Still think their best 3 tracks are Fading, Here to Stay and Crash N Burn. They show alot of promise especially for their 1st album

And they're supporting AB with Halestorm in Sweden. That would be so good

That's cool they're getting to open for AB. I know they're big fans of the band. I think these guys have a promising future even though their debut was kinda 50/50. They've shown enough good songwriting to keep me intrigued.

These guys have a new album coming out soon. Kind of an odd title, but I like the sound of these previews. Cool addition for having Elize Ryd featured on a track. I'm a fan of her voice.

Apparently Brian Sperber mixed this record (he's mixed some AB albums before), so it sounds like they're getting their name around a bit more.

Nailed it

It's like Daughtry had a baby with Nickleback.

I'd prefer listening to them than Halestorm but their guitar just sounds so flat and swallowed by the other instruments. I only hear a singular wash of music behind the singing.

I don't think I've listened to them since around the time I made this thread. Saw they had a new album coming out today, although I doubt it's something I'll listen to a lot. I'll give a it a go when it releases though.

I think they were on one of those talent shows (similar to X factor) in Europe and got 2nd place or something like that. That's why their music is more pop influenced even for a rock band.

Meh. These songs sound super poppy and uncreative. Interesting how the singer sometimes tries to sound like Scott Stapp.

I don't mind the fact that it's pop. It just all sounds the same.

The second song sounded cool though. Loved the octavizing harmonies.

I'm mainly looking forward to hearing that second track with Elize. I love her voice in Amaranthe.
