Again very Queen-ish.. I think Matt is really pushing himself to be creative as possible, and I admire that. I have to give this song some more listens before I can judge, but I think 'alright' is the best way to describe it. I can't see myself really loving this song like I loved older Muse songs, but I like what I'm hearing..

I think this will be a huge live song btw. It's very minimalistic, and that gives the band a lot of space to get the crowd involved.

95% of the entire internet seems to hate the song though..

As soon as bands start to use electronic sounds they're being labeled as sellouts and are 'no longer a real band'. Sure, Muse sold out. They confirmed this themselves. But there's nothing wrong with selling out when you do it with class.

Muse played a gig last night, and they played a few new songs! :D

Supremacy: If you love Muse, you will love this. I promise.

Save Me: I love this one. Chris is doing the vocals and he's freaking nervous, but somehow it gives the song a very cool vibe.

Animals: 5/4 :D loove this song! (edit: just listened to this again, I can't believe how good this song is..)

Panic Station: Funky!! Reminds me a bit of Supermassive Black Hole, but more funky :D

Follow Me: Not really sure what I think of this one.. I hope the song is like this on the album, but the song was produced by Nero, so it might be more electronic.

Oh my hope for this album is restored. This album will be the album of the year :bow
This album will be so much better than The Resistance (which I loved).

I'm not sure this'll work outside the UK (I'm sure there are some shenanigans you can pull to mask where you're from), but the full album seems to be streaming here - http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musicbl ... bum-stream

EDIT - There's a list of streams around the world here! http://muse.mu/news%2Clisten-to-the-2nd ... l=39765741

Edit: I can't share the other 2 (Panic Station and Madness), but you can find them on the same channel.

First half is solid, second half is almost completely forgettable. Their weakest release yet.

I think I like this record better than The Resistance and Black Holes and Revelations.

It has some really good highs. There are some songs on it that are the best Matt's written so far. Songs like Supremacy, Animals and Panic Station are way up there with New Born, Citizen Erased, Hysteria, Knights of Cydonia in my opinion.
Sure, there are some lows on there. I don't like Follow Me (though the live version is still pretty good..), but besides that I think it's a really solid album. The spirit of the band is still there and they are still musically challenging themselves.

I tried to listen to the entire album, but man it got bad really fast. A shame, I really like their previous stuff.

I really wanna get into this band so for those of you who are fans, where do I start? I am shuffling their stuff on Spotify now and I do like a lot of it. I'm listening to live from Wembley right now actually but what are some of your faves? I never realized I had heard pieces of Hysteria many times on tv but never knew it was them. Supermassive Black Hole is cool and I know Uprising.

The majority of the fans thinks 'Origin Of Symmetry' is their best album. I think that would be a great place to start. I'm honestly not sure what Muse album I like the most, because they're all phenomenal.
Some of my favourite songs: Map Of The Problematique, Knights Of Cydonia, Butterflies & Hurricanes, Citizen Erased, Supremacy, Animals, New Born, Plug In Baby, Showbiz, Unintended, Time Is Running Out, Hysteria. (That list became longer than intended :lol)

If you really want to get into the band I recommend their live DVD from Wembley. Muse is one of the few bands that sound better live than in the studio and they aaalways deliver.
