Re: College kids?
but seriously, i think the biggest difference is that in high school you can work with your teachers much more than in college, where everything is just expected to be done. for example theyll say, "read chapters 5-10 by next monday" and next monday youll have a pop quiz over it or something. sometimes they do that in high school, but in college its at an extreme

Don't bring things to class that you want to sell and give them away for free

Re: College kids?
For all those posting about AP credit, test credit, community college credit, etc., it's a great idea, but try to find out ahead of time how the institutions you might want to attend will count them. They might give you full credit, or place you in a higher level similar class, or give you credits toward the total you need to graduate but not get you out of a requirement. That can also vary among schools/colleges within a university. You can definitely save a lot of money and avoid being in some gigantic competitive introductory courses. Some 4-yr schools have well-organized transfer programs from 2-yr schools (provided you do well enough etc.)

Graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Criminal Justice degree but haven't done anything with it. Back at a small tech school up the road studying live sound and lighting.
