Meytal - A Dream
Check this one out. It has a sweet Karnivool vibe, and Meytal herself told me they were a big inspiration for this song. Her new album is so good.

Poets of the Fall - Roses
I always say this in a lot of Poets of the Fall songs, but I just love the way that there's a certain beauty and imagery with their music and lyrics. I just wish they are big enough to do a tour in the states and not just in their native land of Finland. The only US show they have, atm, is a pretty darn small festival called ProgPower where the venue holds only about 1,000 people or so.

I Prevail's Trauma album. The 8th album released in 2019 that I have listened to.
Only listened to 8 albums this year. I'm getting lazy, but enough about that. So I Prevail released a decent album in the form of Lifelines in 2016. I've heard a few songs on Octane and they seem to be tolerable/ok and I've been blasting this song, "Every Time You Leave" on repeat a lot. Let's see how the rest fares.

I listened to that album and it’s really hit and miss. Bow Down is awesome but I don’t know what really happened after that lol

Re: What are you listening to right now?
Yeah, I agree. It's started ok with Bow Down and Every Time You Leave, but other than that, there were songs that was just there to fill space, not really much I can recall or want to relisten to. You think with a 40 minute album, they would make those minutes count, but I don't think they did that.
Anyway, switching gears. Going to listen to Tedeschi Trucks Band's catalog as I am going to see them in May and I think they are going to do a long show so I really got to familiarize myself with their work. I'm certain a lot of that time will be filled with lots of jams, instrumentals, and lots of soloing. Fine with me.

The Fallen State - Statements
Fantastic opening song on their new album, A Deadset Endeavour. So much growth and new layers in their music.

Opeth - Era
From time to time, I go back and check out Opeth and I always ask myself why I don't listen to these guys all the time.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
I'm bored and this Blues/Stars playoff game isn't doing much for me, so it's time for me go back to listening to albums.
Jordan Rudess' Wired for Madness album. The 9th album released in 2019 that I have listened to. I don't know what to expect when it comes to the solo stuff from the grey wizard beard, player of the wacky sounds, Dream Theater keyboardist, but maybe his style of wacky sounds can be portrayed in a better light here than certain parts of Dream Theater stuff. Not that I don't hate it, but his keyboard playing in Dream Theater can be a bit overwhelming and sometimes less can be more. I know he can do some solid stuff on just a grand piano.

Tedeschi Trucks Band's Let Me Get By album.
This is some pretty good soothing stuff here, which is fine, since I need a more calmer concert after seeing Nothing More, Within Temptation, and Dream Theater in recent times.
Edit: All right, onto the new album.
Tedeschi Trucks Band's Signs album. The 10th album released in 2019 that I have listened to.

This Japanese singer, Aimer. Lots of good stuff. I can't understand about 95% of the things she sings, but she sings it so lovely and the arrangements of these songs is very pleasing.
