No song is more poetic and talks about the world today than this one with such nicely subtle mental image, imo.

Rise Against's Wolves album. The 18th album released in 2017 that I have listened to.
Rise Against releasing an album with all the chaos that's going on in this world? I'm sure they may have a lot to say in this one.

Nightwish's Endless Forms Most Beautiful album.
So I heard they are doing a show in Anaheim in April 2018, about four miles from me, and I heard they do a good show, so I decided to check out an album or two before deciding buying a ticket. Like most of the time when listening to a band I'm unfamiliar with, I listen to the new stuff first and then decide whether or not I want to go back to their "classic" albums.

Darren Styles - Us Against The World
So I heard this song in a Twitch stream while the streamer was waiting for the E3 coverage. It's pretty darn catchy.

My Wife used Billy Squires The Stroke for me. That is until she was in a Chamber of Commerce meeting (she served one term) and I called her, lol.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
Here we go.
Nickelback's Feed the Machine album. The 19th album released in 2017 that I have listened to. I actually have high hopes for this album and not dreading having to listen to a Nickelback album. I blasted one of their singles, Song on Fire, a lot and I really enjoyed that song which already makes it a step-up from their last album (which I barely liked any songs, except for Satellite, but Satellite was more of a guilty pleasure sort of song, while I just plain liked Song on Fire in terms of their sappy ballads). Let's see how the rest of the album fares.

Ang, Home is my favorite of that album. Surprised they actually took a step back from the poppy direction they were headed towards and kind of went back to their roots. I dig the album for the most part.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
Yeah, with the exception of Feed the Machine, Song on Fire, and After the Rain, the 1st half of the album kinda dragged for me. From Home onward, it picked up nicely incorporating the things that I really loved about post-grunge/alternative metal music as a kid and still love to this day.
The two "The Betrayal" songs was actually quite surprising to hear from a musical standpoint (one of them was an instrumental. Nickelback doing an instrumental. Think on that one. That's a shocker that I did not expect). It's like finding out that Hulk Hogan can really actually wrestle at one point (which he mainly did in Japan. Not so much in the states where's he's more of the Sportz Entertainment kind of guy that he made his big money, of course).
I give the album a 7.5/10. The highs are good enough for me.

Been listening to Unleash the Archer's latest album, Apex, a lot lately. Can't necessarily relate to the lyrics all that well, but I enjoy the music. Especially the title track.

Blink 182 - Stay Together for the Kids
When I heard this song on the Kroq radio station, I thought this was a song from Three Days Grace until I heard the chorus.
Anyway, I didn't think Blink 182 would actually create a song in their catalog that's deeply provocative dealing with a topic that affects many lives (kids growing up dealing with divorced parents). It's a pretty good song actually.

Nickelback- Home
Their new album has some pretty catchy songs on it but this one is probably my favorite. I don't even like Nickelback but this song is pretty good.

They really came back from the shit show that was their last album. Its not amazing but its much better and there are some great tracks. Home is definitely the highlight for me as well.

Nickelback - Every Time We're Together
Dang you Nickelback and your sappy ballads. When they do try, it just sounds so dang catchy and upbeat and re-listenable.
