Re: What are you listening to right now?
Yeah, "Song on Fire" has a nice melody. I agree that it's better than "What Are You Waiting For?" I actually like a lot of their last album (sucker for a good melody), but I'm looking forward to their more aggressive new one.anguyen92 wrote:Nickelback - Song on Fire
I mean it's a typical Nickelback ballad. Not much more I can say about that. Those that hate Nickelback, especially their ballads, won't like it, but I as a person that grew up on that sort of sound, it's pretty palatable to me.
Edit: You know what? Screw it. I actually like this song. It's much better than something like "What Are You Waiting For?" That's was a friken boy band ballad. At least, they went back to creating a sappy post-grunge rock ballad and I like that sort of stuff in moderation.

Zac Brown Band's Welcome Home album. The 12th album released in 2017 that I have listened to.
I quite liked their previous album, Jekyll + Hyde, and liked that they incoporated a fair amount of genres in it from electronics to pop to rock to bringing a long epic rock sounding track to island to big band to somber country. This album from what I heard, they looks to lower down the genre-breaking stuff and go back more into being more of an good and honest country band like in their first few albums. I hope it is great.

Seether's Poison the Parish. The 13th album released in 2017 that I have listened to.
I didn't really enjoy Seether's previous two albums, but the singles I heard so far for this one seems promising. So, let's see if this is a great album.

Nevermore - Dreaming Neon Black
On of the most painfully emotionally moving performances I've ever heard. Warrell Dane is amazing on this. Damn I miss this band.

Chris Cornell's Songbook version of I Am The Highway. We're all going to miss him and that voice.

Same here. That whole Songbook album is just fantastic. And Highway is one of my favorite songs of all time.anguyen92 wrote:Chris Cornell's Songbook version of I Am The Highway. We're all going to miss him and that voice.

Linkin Park - One More Light (song)
Yes, this new album is labeled as a pop album. However I'm getting some Jeff Buckley vibes from the instrumentals in this song. And another song I got some Lumineers vibes (which I do not mind). I will most likely enjoy the album, but it won't be what I expected from them.
