Re: How am I supposed to get my beauty sleep?!
I hate being woken up at 3AM to the sound of a neighbor next door yelling stupid shit like "FUCKING GOOF!" most of the time as he leaves the house to storm off to who knows where.

If you're not able to get your beauty sleep, then perhaps you should get your sleeping beauty?SHEAKENBAKEN wrote:I hate being woken up at 3AM to the sound of a neighbor next door yelling stupid shit like "FUCKING GOOF!" most of the time as he leaves the house to storm off to who knows where.

Shea randomly kissing sleeping girls is probably not a good idea.

It's all a matter of perspective. Maybe for Shea he risks some things, like prison. But he also gets to practice, so there's that.Timotheus wrote:Shea randomly kissing sleeping girls is probably not a good idea.

Re: What grinds your gears?
Yesterday Mark said in an interview that the band is doing a concert with the orchestra at London's Albert Hall this October and they will film it for a DVD. The fanbase goes nuts and people from all over the world start planning trips and there is an enormous buzz around the band. And then suddenly the interview is republished without the reference to those shows and people who posted the interview are asked to pull it down and we are all supposed to pretend not to know about it.
Come on. This wasn't some insider leak or rumor. This came the guitarist and founder. Typical AB management. So, yeah, it wasn't announced the way it was planned, big deal. The news is out. Go with it. Ride the freaking wave and start pushing this thing as the awesome high profile event it is going to be.
And one more freaking huge AB event I won't get to attend.

Re: What grinds your gears?
One one hand, I can see management's point, especially if the whole thing isn't quite confirmed yet. They wouldn't want the fanbase in an uproar and people booking trips to this thing that ends up falling through, or pushing rumors around the internet that end up not coming to fruition and that ends up hurting the brand image. Then again, this band has been plagued for over 10 years now with things like this, and you'd think they could get their stories straight sooner or later.gbruin wrote:Yesterday Mark said in an interview that the band is doing a concert with the orchestra at London's Albert Hall this October and they will film it for a DVD. Re: What grinds your gears?
I should clarify - by "management" I don't specifically mean Tim or any one person. I just mean exactly what you refer to at the end of your comment. Why can't things just go smoothly for these guys? There's always something....the record label changes, singles that went nowhere, videos that didn't get made, social media snafus, recorded concerts that were never released, the interference by other bands/projects, the box set fiasco, the lack of radio airplay, old songs being held hostage. It's crazy that these guys are still taking two steps forward and sliding one step back. They deserve better.

Re: What grinds your gears?
Absolutely. It's weird, even when they're headlining festivals, they're still not getting radio play and still somehow feel like outsiders in the rock music world. Sucks.
Re: What grinds your gears?
People who use the word "methinks." Thank god that's not an American thing. That's about the only thing we got going for us. It sounds so derpy and Hobbit/Harry Pottery.
