Happy for you, B! Keep on it, and support the soon-to-be misses, too. You need those bodies for a long long time to come.

Thanks guys! I have actually managed to keep that weight down, and keep the sickness at bay. Things have been extra busy lately and we haven't really gotten back into any kind of exercise habit yet, but I did manage to get my bike out on some trails for a couple hours a couple weeks ago. Felt kind of awesome but kind of like I was way out of shape! Ah well, it'll come together.

Drew - you know, I haven't really noticed a huge difference in singing, but I'm sure it has. Listening to recordings from 2013 and then to newer stuff, you can hear a big difference. I'm sure part of it is just the experience and getting better as time goes by, but the weight loss has to help too. Definitely helps with hauling gear and stuff. Plus, I noticed when I first started gaining more weight that I would have lots of times where my left hand would go numb while I was playing - not good. But that seems to have gone away almost completely since dropping weight, so that's another big plus.

Just did my first run in a couple of months, GOOD LORD that space of time is a killer. Thought 5k would be relatively straightforward, I was deeply wrong.

Though on the plus side, My Champion was the last song before the end and it did a great job of pushing me over the line, like being hugged by Myles all the way :cloud9

You still keeping track of your distance, Drew? I'm curious what the total is this year.

Hit 714 this morning. 36 miles to go. I'll hit it. I have a whole week off for Christmas break. Thanks though. Glad to know someone is reading.

Normally three pairs a year. But running and guitar/music are really my only hobbies.

Thanks man. I did 1k a couple of years ago. But I decided I didn't like blisters that much. Scaling back to 750 yearly now. I'm not getting any younger. My thirty-something knees hurt after 6-7 miles nowadays.

With the new year almost upon us, I think we should gather up our fitness goals for the next 12 months, where we're at now, etc, and periodically check in to see how we're sticking to those goals. Anyone game to join me? I'll have to sit down and really think about what my goals are going to be. Weight, bike distance, something quantifiable with yoga, etc.

I saw a girl out running today, and it made me kind of miss doing that. What's wrong with me?

I really need someone to kick my ass into gear. That fact alone is so embarrassing.

Me too, Greg. Between off and on sickness and hating the winter, I've only had 3 workouts logged all December long. I get plenty of movement at work, and nail my fitbit 10k steps goal every day, but that's not really the same. Kids go back to school next Wednesday, so that's the day I'm targeting to get back to the gym, even if it's just to walk a mile or two.

Nice, Brian. Setting specific goals is always a good idea.

Or you can use opportunity. I get to go for a bike ride with my 35 pound dead car battery today, for instance.
