I have a question for you guys.

I am an ISTP personality. My best friend (whom you may remember I'm in love with) is an ENFJ. So we're complete polar opposites. After reading about ENFJ personality, I believe that is exactly what I need from a person in my life (whether it is a friend or lover). Well, we might just see living proof of "opposites attract".

I am also a Sagittarius, and she is a Leo. Upon research, I see Leo in the top three signs for compatibility with Sagittarius, and vice versa. Sagittarius and Leo are 91% compatible.

And according to a name test, we are 95% compatible.

Have I just found the love of my life?

Re: worked for me

Throw a ball at her. If you throw it with your right hand and she grab it with her left, she's your soulmate. If she grabs it with her right however, bad news. Never throw with your left hand, except if you're birthday is in August, but it's still better not to do it.

If she drops the ball, look closely in her eyes. It might not be bad news. If the ball hits her head, it's game over.

Figuratively or literally? We don't have time to throw balls at each other because we only see each other at school.

It's actually that her birthday is in August. Mine is in December.

I actually did hit my previous crush on the head with a basketball FIVE times! (Don't worry, every time was an accident because she wasn't paying attention to where my ball was.)

... Maybe don't go playing basketball with your new crush.

That's proves my theorem above though.

On second thought...

I probably shouldn't be playing basketball with anybody. Or any other kind of ball sports. My motor skills apparently are bad at everything except guitar and drums.

Yeah, generally girls like it better when you show them your guitars, in stead of your balls anyway.

Yes. What I mean is, is she worth going for? And if we do get together, is she worth keeping? I think I'm gonna ask her to be my Valentine if so. I'm long overdue for a Happy Valentine's Day.
zazthespaz wrote: Sun Feb 07, 2021 12:56 pm Throw a guitar then.
Lol didn't see this. It's gonna hurt if I throw a guitar.
Timotheus wrote: Sun Feb 07, 2021 1:54 pm Yeah, generally girls like it better when you show them your guitars, instead of your balls anyway.
Not MY balls!

"We're coming to play with..." - Mark Tremonti
"Your balls" - Scott Phillips

She actually has never seen me playing guitar, just heard. She has seen me playing drums, though. I've also seen her playing clarinet, but it wasn't up close, so she's never actually shown me her clarinet.

By the way, if you don't understand the thread title, that's because it's a play on what she and I are learning in AP Stats.

Bear in mind, some people want to wait until they tie the knot to finally show their clarinet.

anguyen92 wrote: Sun Feb 07, 2021 8:56 pm What's Metallica?
Metallica is an American heavy metal band. The band was formed in 1981 in Los Angeles by vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich, and has been based in San Francisco for most of its career.[1][2] The band's fast tempos, instrumentals and aggressive musicianship made them one of the founding "big four" bands of thrash metal, alongside Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer. Metallica's current lineup comprises founding members and primary songwriters Hetfield and Ulrich, longtime lead guitarist Kirk Hammett, and bassist Robert Trujillo. Guitarist Dave Mustaine (who went on to form Megadeth after being fired from the band) and bassists Ron McGovney, Cliff Burton (who died in a bus accident in Sweden in 1986) and Jason Newsted are former members of the band....

One of those situations where she thought she was alone but you were really right there in a tree outside with binoculars?

You're pretty old school Ubik. I was gonna suggest he just ask to blow it himself.

No. We're both in school bands, but I'm in Jazz Band, and she's in one of the others (I can't remember if it's Concert Band, Symphonic Band, or Wind Ensemble). So every time there's a band concert, the other bands are in the audience while one band is on stage. That's what I mean by up close vs. not up close. Unfortunately, the band concerts haven't had a live audience since last February.

However, this year I'm singing in the musical, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. (Just in the chorus, not a lead role, although I auditioned for Snoop Dogg...I mean Snoopy) She is playing in the live pit (instead of a sound recording, a group of musicians is playing the soundtrack behind the stage). So that's technically the first time we'll play together. (Once I found out she was playing in the live pit, I tried to ask my music teacher if I could switch to playing drums in the live pit since they hadn't found a drummer yet, but he said no. That could have been the other way.) I once suggested we cover some rock songs in a guitar/clarinet duet since we have similar music tastes, but then the shutdown happened.

Yes, we are quite good friends, but I still have no idea whether she's interested in being more than friends.

OK, really? Plus, I'm bad at the "blowing" instruments (as I call them). Believe me, I've tried. My talent is in the hands. Now don't you dare hurl any fingering jokes at me.
