Those two things I said I presumed that were cats scrapping it out in the middle of the night a couple days ago turned out to be Raccoons. Never would have thought of them, even if Raccoons are pretty normal in our area due to the creek and stuff. But hey, they all sound the same so you never know.

I'm not big on "sampling" either. You are claiming to be a musician. Write your own damn music for crying out loud. I wrote a riff the other day. It sounds kind of like a transition riff in a Trivium or Disturbed song or something, but it's MY riff! Artistic integrity could go a long way.

One of the most critically acclaimed albums of all time is DJ Shadow's Endtroducing..... which is comprised of nothing but samples. Incredible album that I highly recommend.

Absolutely brilliant and a beautiful homage to the original version. Saying this lacks artistic integrity is just as insane as saying that Myles can't sing.

And people say that Myles can't sing, but they are idiots so what do they know.

I like sampling, it takes a good piece of music and shows what else can be done with it. What I don't like is when artists sample other musicians and use those as their singles and game fame and fortune. Earn that recognition on your own with 100% of your own talent to prove you're a worthy contender who has something original to give.

It think it COULD be. At least some of the time. That's just conjecture on my part tho.

Sure, it could be. But then there are plenty of rock bands that write flat and uninspiring riffs as well. If that takes more integrity, I'd rather listen to "inferior" rap music.

Definitely, cheese.

In a lighter note... a good friend of mine admitted to me that he has never ACTUALLY listened to AB. He thought it had something to do with Stapp, lmao. So I set him straight, and then we spent the rest of the day warbling our absolute worst WAWO. It was terrible. But we made it last all afternoon. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, he copied off the lyrics to it, and tapes them over the pictures of my kids. Classic. I left it up, so people might actually think I'm into that song, lol.

He's never even heard Metalingus, so I think I'll send him that.

Guy (reportedly) ran a ton of people over with a truck then got out and started shooting.

73+ people dead in a terrorism attack in Nice, France.

A truck has driven into a LARGE crowd, he mowed down tens of people, got out then began to fire on the surivivors before being taken down by police. The truck was full of weapons and guns and bombs apparently.

It's also disheartening to think that when I talk to my coworker about this tragedy at work tomorrow; He's going to say that he's glad all those people died because he hates people.
