I'm back and intend to stay. I left you for a while and look what you've done...
How are you guys these times?
Where did you even go!? I was looking back at old threads the other day and remembered you hadn't been active for a long time what did I do!?
I have absolutely no idea where I've been actually. Just lived my ordinary life I guess
Congrats! That must've been really exciting, at least it would to me...SHEAKENBAKEN wrote: I'm alright! Just been going to work cause Im essential service, playing video games, watching Netflix, trying not to get Corona Saw Alter Bridge live and I got to meet them for the first time ever back on February 26th of this year! Thats pretty much the most exciting thing thats happened for me lately.
Although I must admit we went to the AB show last fall with Shinedown as a support and... Shinedown really rocked it! Their performance was one thing but the lead singer kept contact with the audience all the time while AB guys stayed somehow distant a little and they had again sound problems, what the hell is wrong with I don't know what, for Christ sake...
So after all I felt a little disappointed honestly speaking.
They were supposed to come here again this summer but right now nobody even knows if the summer comes at all

Four times??? Omg, They don't need to work anymore thanks to your donationsanguyen92 wrote:Welcome back, Tigra. The most exciting thing for me was seeing Alter Bridge, four times, in the West Coast back in late February. The best show for me was in Seattle (where I got to meet Shea and I had the closest view I had ever had in sight of the band. Now I'm just working from home. About to do this Mafia game on Friday where I have no clue what I'm doing. I'll probably spout random nonsense and end up getting booted first probably.
Yeah, and here there is always the inner fight "best view" vs. "best sound" - is it the same for you?
I work from home as well for already a month and four days. I'm on the verge of insanity And never played Mafia as well so don't worry, you will do definitely better than I would!

And about the Witcher - could you actually follow the plot? It was such a mess for me... I loved Jaskier and fight scenes, though. Still, something was wrong with Yennefer but I am not able to define what it was. Somehow just didn't convince me...

How are you?
We get really terrifying pictures of the situation in the US in our tv. Here it seems more or less under control... or at least that's what the authorities say...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread
I think in all of the shows and in the prior times I've seen AB, it doesn't matter where I am placed. I know that without proper ear protection I'm going to hear Myles sound like he's on helium in between songs. I do know that any spot, other than Mark's side of the area, will have ok sounding.Tigra wrote: Yeah, and here there is always the inner fight "best view" vs. "best sound" - is it the same for you?

They sometimes sound as if they didn't even play to the same rythm which is not possible od course. Anyway, I seem to have lost my patience. I mean, I know it's not their fault personally but really? How many times should we go over the same old story... And Shinedown sounded perfect in the same venue with basically the same number of people. I have no idea what excuse AB guys/technicians could have.

Re: And me ages 0-9
The Witcher was awesome! It was my first Witcher experience (never played the games or read the books) and never had trouble following along. By episode 4, I was completely hooked.

Happy for the autor to hear it.
I read Greg quite liked it as well.
But no. The series did not give justice to the books. The world is complex, the protagonists multi-dimensional with their own motivations and dreams... The battle of Sodden was suposed to be like all hell broke loose and magic melted the air and what they showed was a shame...
But this is typical diference between book-lovers and fresh after-series converts ;-)

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread
Well, when you hear Shinedown, do you actually hear them or do you hear them play along with any potential backing tracks? I don't think I noted any flaws with AB's sound (other than it's really hella loud in comparison to the opening bands), but I can still piece out all four instruments and Myles' voice well and that's really all I'm asking for.Tigra wrote:They sometimes sound as if they didn't even play to the same rythm which is not possible od course. Re: And a recast of Triss
Once I realized the timelines were different, I followed it pretty well. I was a bit confused until around episode 4 on how things tied together but it made more sense as it went. With that being said the show was kinda choppy in parts.Tigra wrote:The real ones always areAndy92 wrote:Not a redhead. I thought they nailed the Geralt and Jaskier castings. Hopefully the next season flows a bit more smoothly overall.

Point for you. I can't tell. I'm actually tone-deaf. I am not able to produce one note when singing which wouldn't be out of tuneanguyen92 wrote:Well, when you hear Shinedown, do you actually hear them or do you hear them play along with any potential backing tracks?
Still, my husband is somewhat musically-educated and even he says something was wrong. Also people commented similarly in the Internet.
And the conclusion is that I'm not angry with AB. It just feels so bad, you know, there are journalists, people from radio stations, I mean, what are they supposed to think of my favourite band after seeing/hearing such thing?....
And btw. welcome you sleepy guys on this beautiful, sunny morning of another day of confinement....
