Re: Then yell "Norm" every time a fat guy walks into a bar.
SFO - Pier 39. Can spend half a day there easy, maybe a full day. If it's not your scene, walk around the streets in the area and check out some of the scenery and cool shops. Ghiradelli restaurant is fun for an overpriced chocolate/ice cream (dress real warm though for all of it)
Seattle - Pike's Place original Starbucks store and then walk through the market. Find a local restaurant for lunch and ask a local if they know Frasier - they love it when you ask that.

Oh man there's so much to do in both towns! Check out Tripadvisor – I'm sure you'll find no shortage of ideas. Are you staying in town/near the venues?

Yep. Staying at a hostel (in both San Francisco and Seattle) that's like a 5 minute walk from the venues. Should be an interesting experience to endure.abw1987 wrote:Oh man there's so much to do in both towns! Check out Tripadvisor – I'm sure you'll find no shortage of ideas. I read everything. I just choose not to quote and reply to those posts, but I really greatly appreciate the suggestions. I do definitely have going to the original Starbucks as a thing to go to in Seattle.

What to do in SF???
Also in SF: Coit Tower. Alcatraz tour is fantastic if you have the time. Lombard Street. Hike on Angel Island. Golden Gate Park. Walk through the Castro. Ride the streetcars. I always take the ferry over to Tiburon and get brunch at Sam's. Go to House of Nanking in Chinatown and ask the waitress to have the chef make whatever he wants. There's a bridge there that's very pretty and iconic, too.

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread
Life has been crazy. My wife has been two hours away with her dad. He's been in the hospital in ICU for four weeks.
I haven't been around much. I've been working, getting kids to and from school and sports. And paying the bills, and maintaining two houses during the Midwest winter months.
It's been tough, but they are finally moving him back to our town. I get my wife back after only seeing her once in the last month.
Hoping maybe, just maybe AB have a small Midwest run late in the tour. Would be nice after the crazy start to this year.

Re: Who would say no to that?!
Wow, that sucks Drew. Glad the situation is improving at least! If AB doesn't come around to your town, you can join Micky and I for a Thursday show in NJ in May!

Re: <3
Hoping your father in law is doing better, Drew. I know you said they're sending him home but I know from experience that hospitals will kick patients out because they need the beds, especially if they're older. All the best to you!

Yeah. He's improving somewhat. He's coming to the local nursing home until he can get around again.
Im just happy I get to see my wife again. We hadn't spent any time apart in twenty years. Had been talking about driving several hours to the Nashville show before this all happened.

Well. I made to this point again. At John Wayne Airport to San Francisco to see the first of 4 AB shows I’m going to.

Hang in there Drew... that sounds like a handful to say the least, and missing your wife must be tough.

Ty. I’m taking the BART to the station near the hostel right now.
Hours later, Zaz. I’m taking your suggestion and heading to Pier 39 via bus.

Timo just butt dialed a group chat and I was the only one with the guts to answer. Met his family and they all seemed really nice. Did get more people on the line after a couple return phone calls.

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread
Well then. That’s interesting Andy. Did you talk to Timo at all? On a side note, at Pier 39 eating clam chowder in a bread bowl along with a seafood platter. This area is a nice area to walk around.
