The a/c in my apartment died. It's currently 85 degrees in here and we can't reach the handyman.

Welp. I've gone and done it now. I've bought 10 volumes of the official series of the manga, Kaguya-sama: Love is War. About $80.00 total. About 150 pages worth of content per volume. I never owned a manga volume so this should be interesting. It's a pretty funny and can hit you hard at certain places sort of series. I just want some reading material when I'm standing around waiting in between flights for my trip to the East Coast.

So does everyone really have things to do where they do not want to post here anymore? I might as well take the time to say that I had a pretty weird dream yesterday.

I was driving to the Sevendust/Skillet show. For some reason, I left the house at 7PM (which is a terrible time to leave the house for a concert). Not only that, I was driving out of my old house in Diamond Bar rather than my new house in Garden Grove. I was also taking a route that would get me to the Wiltern in 2.5 hours even though I knew going another route would reduce that off by an hour. Also, for some reason, before I got on the freeway, I found myself fistbumping with Barack Obama. I really must be on something if my dreams are this random.

All right, going to play in Classic WoW. There's like 8,000 people in queue right now. I think it was worst earlier. People were in queues where there was like 25k people in line.

Exciting times ahead. I currently have a county job and it is what it is. Two different state jobs opened up on the floor above me, and I'm the frontrunner so I've been told (unofficially). Big time increase in pay, time off and benefits.

I wonder how many people see that and immediately think one? I think the answer is 19, but then again, I haven't used my math brain in like five years. I ditched my math brain for more analyzing and logic brain.

It actually is 1 because the -3 isn’t in parenthesis. If the equation was written (-3)^2 + 10, it would be 19. But without parenthesis, you square the 3 first and get 9, but then you multiply 9 by -1 to get -9. So -9 + 10 = 1.

Order of operations is why you do this. Without parenthesis, the first thing you do is square the 3, then you apply the negative sign next.

Yeah, like I said before. I ditched my math brain. I used to solve these kinds of math problems without blinking and thinking and now I ditched that and I feel better as a person as a result. Stupider, but feel much better and more reliant on doing more effective researching and analyzing rather than memorizing pointless formulas and finding answers in a blink of an eye.
