Beautiful... Adorable.
Congratulations!
I love looking at the starry sky when I'm away from the city, there's not so much light pollution (or how it's called, it's basically darker). It's always amazing to me that I'm looking at the past actually and "they" don't see me but, let's say, fighting dinozaurs... Mysterious to some extent.
Buying own gear - isn't it expensive as hell? I'd guess it's not about just going and buying like a phone or a computer...

Glad you like them. Yeah the gear I'd like to get is probably in the $5k-$7k range when it's all added up.
Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

Getting old is better than the alternative.

Just saw the Foo Fighters live for the first time last night, absolutely lived up to the hype. Dave is the true definition of a rockstar, most entertaining front man I've ever seen in person. Literally in awe of how he was able to go at the intensity he was going for 3 hours straight. Had an out of body experience hearing Best of You in person, something I'll always remember
Rock Never Dies
Thanks for the sig Don Harry!

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread
Well then. Two days from now, I would be leaving the office and heading to the House of Blues Anaheim to see Halestorm and Starset. I am still not ready for this. Hopefully, I can get good parking (and cheap) and get in and get out fast. First time I would be going to a concert by myself. For anyone that's been to an HOB, is the parking good?
Also, depending on time, and whether or not I want to see the first act, New Year's Day, I may actually end up at the HOB restaurant and get a Po' Boy sandwich. Probably be expensive, but it's not every day I get to go to a restaurant before a concert. I might as well live it up.

My Trip to Orlando and Raleigh to see AB Posts
Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread
House of Blues usually have Valet parking with bigger lots behind the venue. The one in Dallas is right smack dab in downtown so you basically have to pay no matter where you park. The food there is very bad the two times I've had it. I usually spend my money on the drinks and then get fast food on the way home. Quality is similar.
And I've been to a concert by myself before. Don't sweat it. Have a few drinks. Everyone is there for the same reason. Don't be afraid to just hold your hand out to a young woman, introduce yourself, say you are pumped about the concert, and ask if she wants a drink.

And you must remember that time is more kind for you guys than for women.
A guy in his 40s is an attractive middle-aged man, with a touch of grey hair, with position and money.
A 45-year old woman has little market value.
What's more, we have to deceive the world on a daily basis: cover the grey hair with a dye, enlarge eyes and lips with make-up, wear spanx to look slimmer and high-heeled shoes to look taller.
Which man has to do it all to look attractive?...
