NFL 2016 Season

Post by Marcos »

Let's talk some football! It's week 3 and we don't have a thread for it yet.

I'm a Dolphins fan but I always pick up a second team to root for every season as Miami doesn't have a chance to go to the playoffs.

I'm a Philadelphia Eagles fan, but don't worry, I'm not the stereotypical Philly sports fan. I'm aware that we're usually garbage and don't get my hopes up easily. Right now the Eagles are certainly doing well, but I'm waiting for it to trail off, like it always does. :lol

It looks like the Eagles totally scored with Wentz. The kid looks great so far.

Yeah, I'm just hoping he holds up. I'm cautiously optimistic at the moment. I need more than 3 games before I feel secure with them doing well. That said, Wentz and our defense look pretty good so far.

Cool to see a fan from across the pond! I've been watching them since I was around 10-11 years old. My brother was a Vikings fan, so my choice was pretty obvious. :lol

The Broncos offensive line is terrible. That is a very bad omen for the season, especially with 2 totally inexperienced quarterbacks trying to run the offense this year.

Not optimistic about my Hawks. This is the time of year they typically turn it on, but they're just so injured... Losing a top 15 all-time safety does not make things any easier.

But if we can just win this week, and get C.J Procise back next week, our offense might just have a shot.

The Broncos showed this year just how brilliant Peyton Manning's mind was.

With virtually the same team, which included about the best defense in the league and about the worst O Line in the league, Denver went from Super Bowl champs to missing the playoffs. The difference was Manning's ability to look at a defense and audible into a play that would gain 3 or 4 yards rather than running the called play that would lose 2. The QB this year could run and throw a million times better than Manning last year, but he didn't have the mind to salvage the horrible offensive line and play calls.

I'm getting prepared to face the insufferable Patriots fans when Tom Brady wins another ring in a few weeks. Ugh.
