Saw it, but honestly it was an 8/10 for me while TFA was more of a 9/10. I think the last 45 minutes were absolutely fantastic, but the first 90 minutes were a drag and jumped around way too much for my taste.

Saw it last Tuesday, enjoyed it a lot more than TFA. TFA still annoys me to this day in that it takes a few elements from ANH and makes them grander (especially the whole Starkiller Base idea... even Han says "it's just a bigger Death Star" or something along the lines of that). R1 on the other hand... didn't quite have the "Star Wars" feel I was expecting, but some of the characters were phenomenal. And witnessing the destructive power of the Death Star in new cinematic technology was also pretty cool. Like someone mentioned earlier, I fall into the category of people who don't like the fighting style in R1, I believe they should have made Vader's movements during that final scene aboard the flagship more "clunky" to match his Obi-Wan duel, just for continuity's sake.

All in all though, definitely my favourite Star Wars film after the OT.

So I'm not the only one who had that song in my head after reading the title. :lol

I reckon they might have backed off having it as the title if they were releasing this year, every interview would have a "so is your influence Star Wars?" question :lol

I'm so fucking hype for this movie!!! Been a moderately big fan of Star Wars for a long time, I'm ready to see more of Old Man Luke.

Long shot of lightsaber training is hype.

No hype without symmetry

The offset faces on the poster bother me. I have a hard time looking at it. The trailer is cool though.

Kind of agree with you. Love the callback to the original's poster though.

I've seen a photoshopped version floating around where it's symmetrical. I feel like they just did it that way to have Mark Hamill as the largest in the picture as the lead actor. I'm not sure what other reason there would be for it.

Get in the game, Jedi!

He could merit the large head if he didn't waste the last few years sitting on some desolate rock staring vacantly at the sea while Ray and Leia and their crew did all the hard work.

Can't wait to see Darth Snooter on the big screen. Super underrated character.
