If Abrams has taken away all the good thematic stuff of The Last Jedi and kept in the "Finn rides animal" aspect, I will quite possibly Lose It.
For all of the hope that it brings...

Maybe it's his version of pod racing?!

Could get behind it with a "now THIS is pod racing" line and side-eye to camera.

Hi, I'm here to poop on the new red herring lightsaber design.

Makes way more sense than Maul's in terms of practicality, but I don't get why there's no-one in that damn galaxy can make a nice clean red blade anymore.

Idk that looks like a huge pain in the ass if you only want to use 1 half of it. I agree with you about the blades although they've honestly all looked different to me this trilogy. I prefer the old ones with a nice bloom - the clean ones from this trilogy look like they're waving around fluorescent lights.

Yeah, how are you supposed to fight with it when it’s in the folded mode?! Gotta hold both handles or it’ll turn in your hand as soon as the other side has pressure applied to it. And to think I used to turn to Star Wars for realism :rolleyes

I was a fan of the movie. Harrison Ford’s appearance surprised me the most, and looking back on it that’s probably my favorite scene in the movie. Adam Driver was pretty stellar throughout this trilogy.

I know the internet likes to nitpick everything to death, but I had fun watching this one. Has some pacing issues at times but J.J. really wasn’t left with much time to tie everything together in one movie. There’s a lot of fan service going on throughout but after the response to The Last Jedi, I don’t see how anyone could blame him.

Almost verbatim what I said. I rate it a C, or a C+

Saw it last night and really enjoyed it. Probably my favorite of the last 3. The ending seemed a bit clipped, and the purists will probably go mad over a lot of unanswered issues or that Rey/Kylo stuff near the end, but the CG and the various chase/fight scenes were well done and the movie was enjoyable to this mostly casual Star Wars fan.
Another photobucket casualty... :(
